Salah satu bentuk kegiatan adalah Kompetisi Robot Madrasah Indonesia. Kompetisi ini melombakan Robot Berkaki dan Robat Beroda hasil karya siswa madrasah seluruh Indonesia sesuai dengan tema yang relevan setiap tahunnya. Sampai tahun 2018 ini sudah diselenggarakan 4 kali ajang Kompetisi Robot Madrasah Indonesia. Universitas Bung Hatta mempunyai Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Information Communication and Technology (UKMICT). The capacitor bank was installed to improve the power factor in the distribution system. Due to frequently capacitor bank switching has create transient phenomena in the distribution system and their effects the power quality. The aims of this research to study and simulate the effects of capacitor bank switching in the distribution system. The simulation has been conduct with PSIM software by modelled the system which contain of supply, load and three capacitor bank. The simulation was conducted with two conditions which are single bank and bank to bank switching. For single bank switching peak voltage of phase R reached about 60.9 kV and peak inrush current is reached about 6.7 kA. While for bank to bank switching the peak voltage of phase R reached as high as 59 kV and the peak inrush current is almost 8.2 kA.

The method used in analysis of wind speed characteritistic is the Weibull distribution method. This method has proven its accuracy in terms of its ability to determine the best value. Presentation of data for 3 years from 2008 to 2010 with an average wind speed of 3.159273 m/s and average air humadity as 80.22 and probability of each 0,3386 %. The results show that from January to April and October to December, the potential of wind speed is likely to be used as wind power plant, but besides these months on a low wind speed has a very low even that it is not likely to be used as power plant and standard deviation average at 0.304333
A single switch rectifier was developed in this thesis, which has continuous input and output cur... more A single switch rectifier was developed in this thesis, which has continuous input and output currents. The design and implementation of a single switch three-phase multi resonant rectifier delivering 147 Vdc at 2.2 kW output has been carried out. By the use of a multi resonant scheme, the IGBT operates with zero current switching and the diode operates with zero voltage switching. This multi-resonant rectifier with a single transistor is capable of drawing a higher quality input current waveform, good power factor and low stresses on the semiconductor devices. Buck type converter was used for the power stage, and hence the output voltage is lower than the input voltage. Moreover, these rectifiers have a wide load range with low stress on semiconductor devices. Simulation and experimental results are presented. The total harmonic distortion (THD) of the line current is less than 5% and the system efficiency is about 90% at 25% of maximum load. The single switch rectifier using multi resonant zero current switching has been simulated using OrCad release 9.1 software for 25% of maximum load. A good agreement between simulation and experimental results has been achieved.

This harmonic has the significant effects to the differential protection systems components such as current transformer (CT) and relay. The CT tends to saturate due to the presence of current harmonics in power system, so it will produce magnitude secondary current error and make the differential relay to miss operations. The harmonic distortion effects on the differential protection have been investigated through laboratory test. To determine the CT errors when operates under harmonic condition, the CT has been test with certain level of THDi. Because of easy process control and energy saving, it mainly found in commercial and industrial facilities. Unfortunately, ASD is sensitive to power disturbances such as voltage sags. This paper analyzes the behavior of diodes rectifier current under normal condition and voltage sags of type A and C. Based on the experiment results, the behavior of diode currents are reverse bias during voltage sag and high inrush current appears after the voltage sag ends. Impact of type A voltage sag with various conditions are presented by voltage tolerance curve.
