Our goal is to introduce a discrete string model representing bound states in an N-relativistic particle system. The spectrum of the physical states is obtained for an arbitrary number N of particles in an arbitrary spacetime dimension. Particular illustrative examples of the new method for N = 2, 3, 4 and 5 are given, and the conditions on the existence of physical states with a precise spin content in any particular number of spacetime dimensions are clearly established.

In this paper we discuss the potential structure of the evolution equations, in particular Navier... more In this paper we discuss the potential structure of the evolution equations, in particular Navier-Stokes. To this end, the method of prolongation of Wahlquist H. D. and Estabrook F. B., J. Math. Phys., 16 (1975) 1 is introduced and the most general potential for the flow velocity is found, expressing everything in terms of the representative differential forms of the system of equations. Steady-flow and self-similar solutions and conditions are presented and briefly discussed, as well as the most general solution when a general transformation similar to the one given by Cole is introduced into the original system. In this theoretical context, the solution can be associated with a damped acoustic wave. Consequently, a useful application area for the present work is certainly in nonlinear acoustics, as we discuss briefly at the end of this letter.

We investigate the role of a dynamical torsion field coming from a geometrical non-Riemannian mod... more We investigate the role of a dynamical torsion field coming from a geometrical non-Riemannian model. This model is reminiscent of a generalized Born-Infeld theory and the torsion plays a fundamental role trough its Hodge dual: the pseudovector This contains axion, Kalb-Ramond 2-form and physical observables of macroscopic character. An emergent interaction Lagrangian arises from the model and it is compared with a superstring inspired one taken from Bamba Kazuharu et al., Phys. Lett. B, 664 (2008) 154 pulling out several important consequences in favor of our proposal, as the possibility of establishing a clear connection between the change of the CMB polarization plane and the anomalous current .
