However, the presence of foam reduces its strength. Utilization of used clothing fibers is carried out to increase the flexural strength of cellular lightweight concrete and is useful for reducing environmental loads. Used clothing fibers are added to the cellular lightweight concrete in the amount of 0%; 0.3%; 0.6%; 0.9% and 1.2% of weight. Cellular lightweight concrete is also reinforced with steel wire mesh with a wire diameter of 0.5 mm with a side length of ¼ inch x ¼ inch. With the addition of used clothing fibers increase the flexural strength and reduce the density of cellular lightweight concrete. The addition of steel wire mesh increases the flexural strength but increases the density of cellular lightweight concrete.

This paper discusses the effect of sandwich composite skin and core thickness bending strength. Bamboo was used as a core of sandwich composite panels. The length of the bamboo was varied by cutting it to 5 cm, 6 cm, and 7 cm. Bamboo was then arranged standing flanked by multiplex through the process of gluing with epoxy. The Multiplex as the skin was varied at 3 thicknesses i.e. 4 mm, 6 mm, 9 mm. The strength test of the sandwich composite was done by a three-point loading method. The maximum load and the specimen dimensions were used to calculate the composite bending strength. The effect of skin and core thicknesses against the bending strength was analyzed using the two-way ANOVA statistic method. Based on the analysis, it is found that the strength of sandwich composite bending is influenced by the skin and core thicknesses individually. While the skin and core thicknesses together do not affect the strength of the sandwich composite bending.

The optimization is done by improving the composite production. There are some methods to produce composites for high voltage insulator. The VARI is the method that was used in this research. By using VARI method the effects of fouling can be reduced compared to non-vacuum method (hand lay-up). The mechanical properties such as tensile strength and bending value were investigated by using tensile and bending test. As the results the maximum tensile stress by VARI method was 352,1720 Mpa while tensile stress from hand lay-up was 287,8736 Mpa. After fracture by tensile test specimens of VARI method, the fibers bonded with a matrix still in a good condition, while by hand lay-up method the fiber dispersed out of the matrix that reduces the mechanical strength of the composite.

Terjadi gempa kembar berkekuatan 7 SR dan diikuti gempa-gempa lain yang lebih kecil. Pengulangan gempa dengan kekuatan besar inilah yang menyebabkan bangunan fisik rusak dan roboh. Perlu rekonstruksi baik bangunan fisik maupun memulihkan mental penduduk yang terdampak oleh gempa. Musholla Nurul Falah salah satu tempat ibadah yang terdampak gempa tersebut. Tempat ibadah bagi warga Desa Jeringo ini mengalami kerusakan pada sarana sanitasi dan tempat wudzunya. Untuk memulihkan kondisi sarana tersebut perlu kerjasama dari berbagai pihak termasuk civitas akademika Universitas Mataram. This research aims to know the performance of each type of brake pads so that it can show the excess and lack of each type of product. As user, we have to choose a product which will be used in our vehicle cleverly.The research be done by giving variations in load of brake and weight of rider at a constant speed. The load of brake used spring with the variation are 2 kg, 3 kg and 4kg. While, weight rider are varied with 54 kg and 111 kg.Research result shows that increasing load of pull brake led to increasing the value of worn out and a decline in the braking time, while increasing weight of the rider causes an increase in the value of worn out and braking time at all types of brake pad products. Due to the defects in composite for high voltage insulator failure caused by dynamic load, it is ... more Due to the defects in composite for high voltage insulator failure caused by dynamic load, it is necessary to optimize the mechanical behavior of the composite insulator. The optimization is done by improving the composite production. There are some methods to produce composites for high voltage insulator. The VARI is the method that was used in this research. By using VARI method the effects of fouling can be reduced compared to non-vacuum method (hand lay-up). The mechanical properties such as tensile strength and bending value were investigated by using tensile and bending test. As the results the maximum tensile stress by VARI method was 352,1720 Mpa while tensile stress from hand lay-up was 287,8736 Mpa. After fracture by tensile test specimens of VARI method, the fibers bonded with a matrix still in a good condition, while by hand lay-up method the fiber dispersed out of the matrix that reduces the mechanical strength of the composite.
