Since the entrepreneurs' entrepreneurial mindset is different from others in the process of creating value and appropriation of rewards, the purpose of this study is to understand the readiness of the mindset of entrepreneurship students for sensing the uncertainty in the environment for venturing into entrepreneurship opportunities in the market. Hence, this metacognition research founded on a positivist approach quantitatively assesses the cognitive adaptability of a sample of 307 students at an African university. The purpose of this study was to examine how frequently and effectively lecturers use motivationa... more The purpose of this study was to examine how frequently and effectively lecturers use motivational teaching strategies in their teaching of business education to undergraduate students at Botho University. A number of authorities allude to the fact that the choice and use of teaching strategies are critical factors in the success of the teaching/learning process. It is also shown in literature that motivational teaching strategies give ownership of the learning process to the students and hence is a highly stimulating way of ensuring students are actively engaged and benefit from their learning. The study assumed a quantitative approach with a structured questionnaire that employed a five-point Likert scale used for data collection. The SPSS version 21 was used for data analysis. Results of the study showed that most of the lecturers teaching at undergraduate level at Botho University frequently and effectively use motivational teaching strategies.

This helps BU to make meaningful contributions to sustainable development in Botswana through the provision of high quality education. The study was motivated by the desire to establish perceptions of Botswana industry as regards BU Student Industrial Attachment (SIA) Programme introduced in 2011. The population for the study constituted 601 organizations which had at one time or another have taken BU students on attachment, and a convenience sample of 200 was taken in Gaborone, and 150 questionnaires were fully completed and returned, representing a 75 % response rate. The major finding of the study was that industry had a positive perception and a supportive attitude towards the attachment programme. The purpose of this study was to look at the challenges facing Zimbabwe’s economy compared to Bot... more The purpose of this study was to look at the challenges facing Zimbabwe’s economy compared to Botswana and determine re-branding strategies Zimbabwe can adopt to portray a positive image. Case studies of countries whose economies miraculously recovered were given, they include countries like Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan and Malaysia. Document reviews and in-depth literature review were used to collect data. The findings of the study revealed challenges related to policy issues, corruption, relations with western countries over the land reform programme, corporate governance issues, and macroeconomic fundamentals such as government spending priorities, the country’s credit rating, judicial independence, and property rights. These were some of the factors that contributed to the meltdown of the Zimbabwean economy.
