Pertempuran New Orleans

Pertempuran New Orleans adalah sebuah pertempuran yang terjadi pada hari Minggu, 8 Januari 1815,[1] antara Angkatan Darat Britania di bawah Mayor Jenderal Sir Edward Pakenham, dan Angkatan Darat Amerika Serikat di bawah Brevet Mayor Jenderal Andrew Jackson.[2] Pertempuran ini terjadi sekitar 5 mil (8,0 kilometer) di selatan kota New Orleans,[3] dekat kota Chalmette, Louisiana saat ini, dan merupakan kemenangan Amerika.[2] Pertempuran ini secara efektif menandai berakhirnya Perang tahun 1812.[4]
