Istanbul
Istanbul[1] (nominate officialmente assi in turco a partir de 1930, e Constantinopole antea; in greco: Κωνσταντινούπολις, vel Νέα Ῥώμη; in latino: Constantinopoli, vel Nova Roma) es le plus grande urbe in Turchia, con circa 10 milliones habitantes. Su nomine era Byzantio in Grecia antique, usque illo era appellate Constantinopole in le quarte seculo EC como capital occidental del Imperio Roman. Post le cadita de Roma in 476 illo continuava a ser le capital del Imperio Byzantin usque 1453, quando illo deveniva le capital del Imperio Ottoman post le conquesta turc del citate.
