UniSA Student Hardship (COVID-19)

The Student Hardship Fund is closed from 28th February 2021. There are currently no plans for further COVID-19 related funding.

If you require urgent assistance we encourage you to contact USASA who may be able to assist you with accessing emergency food/financial support through their financial counselling service.

UniSA’s Career Services team has developed a step-by-step program and collated a suite of resources, tools and templates, all accessible in one handy location. Register your interest via the COVID-19 Job Search Support Program webpage.

A number of community-based support services are also available to our students, including:   

  • Uniting Communities – services are located across Adelaide and provide a range of support including food and chemist vouchers, assistance with bills and expenses. 
  • Baptist Care SA – Community Food Hub located at 216 Wright Street in the City – Bread, fruit and vegetables are free and all other items are heavily discounted. 
  • Salvation Army – may be able to provide emergency food assistance, make a phone appointment by calling (08) 8227 0199.
  • Affordable SA –  a website and phone app that allows you to search for information on local support services covering housing, transport, health, financial support, domestic violence, food and emergency relief. You can get more information on this service by calling 1800 025 539. 
  • Ask Izzy – a website that allows you to search for nearby services and supports for housing, food, domestic abuse, financial help, health and counselling.
