This thesis aims to implement the microcontroller algorithm and control the movement of the
robot by proper tuning of the control parameters and Compiling data from different sources and
analyzing them by using several software to achieve better performance. Line Following robot
is one of the most important aspects of robotics. It is designed to move automatically and
follow the made plot line.
A Line Follower Robot is an autonomous robot which is able to follow either a black or white
line that is drawn on the surface consisting of a contrasting color. Microcontroller of line
follower is a method consisting of the defined type of microcontroller to improve the
movement of the robot. The robot uses several sensors to identify the line thus assisting the
robot to stay on the track. The robot is driven by DC Motors to control the movement of the
wheels. The line follower robots applied in the different area such as in the hospital, in
industry, in staff and etc. But this thesis is needed to analyze, design, control and improve the
health care management system in hospitals.
A line following robot carrying medicine has been designed for providing the medicine and
other things to the patient whenever they need it. This line follower robot is provided with
Light dependent resistor sensor whose resistance varies with light intensity. When the LDR
receives maximum amount of light then its resistance goes to its minimum value, ideally zero
and when no light falling on the LDR then its resistance goes to its maximum value, ideally
infinitive. Radio Frequency modules signals are used in wireless remote control system
for transmitting and receiving wireless logic signals to control the motors of the line
follower robot control system. A push button with RF(radio frequency) transmitter has been
fitted near the operator.

I came from the town called Sadeka, west showa, Oromia region, from my father Teshome Zeleke and My mother Kebebush Motuma. My father completed grade twelve at Gedo and started his own work returning back home. He married my mother when she was 13 years old. I had completed my elementary school with my family here at Sadeka or w/t/Mara and preparatory at Gedo town. To join Hawassa university was my dream when I was grade 12 th and after taking my entrance exam I select this university at first and I joined. I am so very interested to join Hawassa University. In my campus life joining such like very interested field Electromechanical Engineering was my wish also. specifically I love electrical, mechanical and computer courses very well so at the time it was difficult to me to select which subject to study, out of those three departments , when I heard that there is an electromechanical here, the hybrid of these three departments, I excited very well. Now it is my lovely department I where studying here at Hawassa University. The all courses I have taken is also interested.
