Coolagown Stud

Coolagown Stud is situated in the beautiful picturesque village of Coolagown, circa 8 kilometres from Fermoy, Co Cork just off the N72.
Fermoy and its surrounding hinterland is a prominent location for some of Irelands top Stud Farms.
The Stud was established by Bernie Stack over 20 years ago when he acquired his first stallion. Bernie who has been involved in the equine business for almost 50 years as both a breeder and racehorse owner saw a gap in the market for reasonably priced Stallions. The Stud farm comprises c. 120 acres of prime grassland with stabling for over 70 horses and nearby outside farms for further grazing and isolation as required.

David Stack with over 20 years’ experience manages the stud and has acquired an excellent reputation in the industry. Under his stewardship, the Stud has stood many stallions the most notable being Daylami, Carlotamix and Papal Bull. Information on our current stallions’ roster can be found on our stallions pages.
