At the 38th Inter-IIT Aquatics Meet held in IIT Indore, the IIT Delhi aquatics team made history by taking home the swimming (men) and water polo trophies. This is the first time in the history of the Inter-IIT Aquatics Meet that the institute has won both.

In the water polo final, IIT Delhi won against IIT Bombay after a fiercely contested semi-final match against the reigning champion, IIT Madras.

IIT Delhi’s star swimmer Rachit Rambhia set a new meet record in the 50m backstroke event and took home two gold medals (one in 50m backstroke and another one in 100m breaststroke). He also won a silver medal in the 50-meter breaststroke. Rachit emerged as the top goal scorer in water polo.
