Omar Abubakar Hambagda (an haifeshi 28 ga watan Yuli shekara ta 1949 - 30 Mayu 2016) ɗan siyasan Nijeriya ne wanda ya kasance ɗan majalisar dattawa mai wakiltar mazabar Borno ta Kudu

An haifi Omar Abubakar Hambagda a ranar 28 ga watan Yulin 1949. Ya sami MA daga Jami'ar Lancaster. Ya zama kwamishinan lafiya (1993) da Ilimi (1999) a jihar Borno, kuma ya kasance mataimakin farfesa kuma shugaban kula da harkokin kasuwanci a Jami'ar Maiduguri.

A 1996, ya wallafa wani littafi mai suna: 'Accountability in government: rawar ma'aikatan gwamnati.'

A watan Afrilu na 2003, Hambagda ya tsaya takarar sanata a tikitin All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) kuma an zabe shi a mazabar Borno ta Kudu. An sake zabarsa a 2007. Ya kasance mai karfin fada a ji na shugaban marasa rinjaye na Majalisar Dattawa, amma ya sha kaye a hannun Sanata Maina Maaji Lawan na Barno ta Arewa.

Sanata Hambagda ya shugabanci karamin kwamitin zartarwa na Majalisar Dokokin Kasar kan Sake nazarin Tsarin Mulki, wanda ya ba da shawarar amincewa da wa’adi na uku ga Shugaba Olusegun Obasanjo. A cikin Nuwamba 2005, ya bayyana cewa shi da kansa bai yarda da wannan ra'ayin ba. Koyaya, a watan Afrilun 2006, fusatattun matasa sun yi masa jifa da duwatsu a karamar hukumar Biu ta jihar Borno wadanda ke adawa da wa’adin na uku ga Obasanjo.
