The Sig Sauer P224 Extreme is a small frame sub-compact pistol designed for self-defense, conceal and carry, or as an off duty back-up pistol. The overall length is 6.7-inches, with the barrel at 3.5-inches in length. The Extreme holds 11-rounds of 9mm, or 10-rounds of .40S&W, .357 SIG ammunition from a double stack magazine.
The P224 Extreme has a Nitron coated stainless steel slide, with serrations on the rear for easy grip while chambering rounds. The frame is stainless steel, with a Black hard coat anodized finish. The front sight is fixed, and rear is a U-Notch SigLite night sight. It has Hogue black and grey G-10 extreme grips that include front strap checkering. The trigger pull is 4.4-pounds for single action, 10-pounds for double, and 7.5-pounds for DAK.
