Support starts when you apply for treatment. Your treatment plan will be tailored to your needs and could include a six-week residential stay in our home-from-home environments.

Applying for treatment

It begins by filling out our short application form. One or two days later, a member of our team will call you to find out more about you and whether our service is right for you.

The team will then create your personal treatment plan, which may also include additional treatment with a partner organisation. If we feel you are better suited to treatment with another organisation, we will discuss this with you.

Pre-residential support

Treatment starts now! A key worker will be assigned to you who you can contact during the whole treatment process. You will also get weekly one-to-one calls with our trained staff and virtual support groups with others who are preparing to start residential treatment.

These are safe spaces for you to ask questions about what lies ahead and to share your hopes and fears. You will also find out more about what to expect from treatment and who you might meet.

Six-week treatment programme

When you arrive, you will get a warm welcome from our experienced team of therapists and support workers. Our team will empower you to tackle your gambling-related harms. You will have a comfortable bedroom in a calm environment and spaces for eating, relaxing, and therapy.

Working closely with our team, you will set yourself goals which will be reviewed and updated, as well as one-to-one and group sessions.

On Saturday afternoons, you and the other residents will take part in activities off-site and these will give you an opportunity to relax and recharge. Sunday is a day to relax, but also to get prepared and focused for the week ahead.

After residential

We will support you to return home. Once you leave, you will get weekly phone support by us or another member of the National Gambling Support Network as you get back on your feet. We also provide online relapse prevention.

Treatment costs

We will remove as many barriers as possible to help you live a life without gambling-related harms. We want you to get the help you deserve. Gordon Moody now offers this service at no cost.
