The existing approaches for P2P traffic identification are port-based, payload-based, behaviour-based, and heuristic-based. In the present scenario, the method based on intrinsic techniques is not efficient to classify Internet traffic due to the use of dynamic port numbers, masquerading techniques and low accuracy.
