Abstract. An ultrafilter construction is used to show that a certain infinite product of ordered sets with FPP, while connected, does not itself have FPP.
Key words: fixed point property, product, retract. 1. The Construction. In Chapter 10 of his forthcoming book, [5], B. Schröder discusses infinite products.
