Hi, I'm Dan 👋
My career began as a designer and fabrication specialist. I worked with design-build studios in Chicago, New York City, and Pittsburgh— woodworking, programming CNC routers, using 3D modeling software, and producing original scripts and simulations.
An education in architecture instilled in me the practices of rigorous visual representation and physical prototyping. It still inspires me to be constantly inventing and testing my ideas. Media continues to be central to my projects and research. In particular, I'm interested in how the physical infrastructure and organization of the Internet influences society and politics.
The loosed blog is my laboratory, and it serves as a public log and wiki for all my work and play. Through my research, writing, and designs, I hope to engage eager hackers to participate in a productive discourse— in person and online— that empowers people to interrogate how our digital tools change the way we live and communicate.
If you’ve found value in my work or want to support more of it, consider sponsoring. Donations and sponsorships are a blessing, and they encourage me to continue hacking, inventing, and sharing my ideas with the world online.
Thank you for your support!
