Hi! I'm Hisham, from Porto Alegre, Brazil.
I have been working on open source for over 20 years, as a creator and maintainer of several projects.
I am most active in the Lua language community:
- I'm the creator and maintainer of LuaRocks, the Lua package manager
- I'm the creator and maintainer of the Teal language, a statically-typed dialect of Lua (which transpiles to plain Lua)
- and I also help maintaining several other Lua projects, as seen in my github, keplerproject and lunarmodules.
Right now, besides maintaining these projects, I'm also developing my next project, Userland, a user-oriented dataflow environment — stay tuned!
In the past, I have also created the htop process viewer, and have maintained it for 15 years.
