codebar
We are a charity that drives diversity in the tech industry by enabling minority group members to learn coding in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
What we do
We create a safe space for minority group members to learn programming in a collaborative environment. We help our community build upon their skills and increase employability, helping them to pursue a career in technology.
Our impact
Since we started running workshops in October 2013:
ππ« 24,800+ people have attended a codebar event
π»π± We've run 2,035 workshops (thatβs roughly 4,070 hours of learning)
π π Opened 45 chapters around the world
π§π½βπ»π©βπ» On-boarded over 200 organisers globally
Supporting us
Our open source work focuses on our application, which we use to organise and run our workshops and events. We also maintain our own set of open-source tutorials, covering topics such as HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Android development, iOS development, and Git. Your donation will enable us to develop and maintain these projects as well as support the infrastructure they rely on (hosting, emails, etc.).
