Hey π I'm Ollie! By day I'm a software developer at the Guardian.
In my spare time I help to develop and maintain the Great British Public Toilet Map!
The Toilet Map covers over 14,000 publicly accessible toilets in the UK and is entirely driven by user contributions! We aim to help people from all walks of life get access to good quality public facilities while they're out and about.
The service is especially helpful for people with disabilities who need to have confidence that they will be able to get access to the facilities they need.
By sponsoring me, you'll be helping to further the development of the map and my efforts in building a community of contributors. Thanks for taking the time to have a look at my sponsor page! π
Right now I'm working towards migrating the project database from Mongo to Postgresql with Prisma & Supabase. This will modernise our backend infrastructure with consistent typing; make future work on the database much easier; and bring strong performance benefits to our users β¨
