Hello.
I got this review. Why my ipa crash only of iPad Air 11(M2) iPadOs 18.5 ?

We were unable to review the app because it crashed on launch. We have attached detailed crash logs to help troubleshoot this issue.
Review device details:

Device type: iPad Air 11-inch (M2)

OS version: iPadOS 18.5

Is it caused by OS 18.5?
I applied for my similar app recently, but it was OK.

What AIR SDK did you use for this? and what platform did you use to build it?
If it's AIR SDK 51.2, can you please use the IPASymbolFile configuration file setting to generate a data file alongside your IPA, and then provide that to us alongside the crash reports that they mention?

I'm assuming you've tried the installation yourself via TestFlight etc, have you tried it on other 18.5 iOS devices, and/or iPads?

AIR SDK is AIR SDK 51.2.1
Windows 10, Animate Ver 24.0.10
Then I make first Version of the similar app.
And I use AIR SDK 50.2.3.6 for IPA build for a while?

can you please use the IPASymbolFile configuration file setting to generate a data file alongside your IPA, and then provide that to us >alongside the crash reports that they mention?
I do not know what to do about this. There are many web pages using Xcode getting the crash log of IPA.

have you tried it on other 18.5 iOS devices, and/or iPads?
Yes, this app also crashed my iPhone, OS 18.5 and I tried my former app which was OK before (the iOS version was not OS18.5).
After I upgrade the iOS version to 18.5, this former app also crashed
But with AIR SDK_50.2.3.6 was OK.

To generate the IPA symbol file, please see iPhone/iPad/tvOS crash logs.

Interesting that the old one too crashes under 18.5 .. but if you built under Windows, it might be the issue due to symbols moving around between iOS versions :-(

The crash log should tell us that, were you able to get that off the device or obtain it from their App Store review messages?

I got some crash information (ips). From App store Connect and my iPhone.
I do not know where is bad?
If you check this, I will send. But there are some personal information,
I hesitate to upload it. May I delete or change these, especially app name and bundle ID.

If I make this app with iMAC, this error does not happen? But I must remake the scene,. The scene and letters are differrent
I remake android app to make IPA app. It was easy.

I think that the former version also was made with AIR SDK 51.2.1.
So if I use AIR SDK 50.2.3.6, to this IPA, it does not crash because of OS 18.5?
If so I will publish this IPA with my Windows PC.

I'm not aware of any changes in 51.2 vs 50.2 which would cause a crash on iOS 18.5 and we have apps running on 18.5 successfully; best to check the crash log though to see if there are any clues there. You can find/replace the app id and process name etc if it helps, or send it privately to us via https://transfer.harman.com/requests/GSm00YEojjTCJagR6Z4xT6

We have found a number of occasions where a symbol has moved between libraries in iOS which means when linking on Windows using the 'stub' files in the AIR SDK, an application then looks in the wrong library for a symbol and cannot find it. So there's an option for linking using the Apple SDK rather than the AIR SDK (by using 'LLVM_HOME' and 'iOSPlatformSDK' configurations - see the release notes under the "Configuration File" section) and this can then use the deferred linking mechanism that they have.

But we wouldn't know whether that would help until we know what caused the crash..

OK. I will try to make IPA with Win 11 PC and 51.2. and make new app ID.
And if this fails, I will make IPA with MAC PC.

My test app crushed again and again.
I put the error log.
I tested both devices.
iPhone 13 mini ios 18.5 No:MLJC3J/A
ipad 9th generation ,ios 17.6.1 No:MK2K3J/A
AIR SDK: 51.2.2.3
AIR SDK 51.2.2.2
Windows 10 pro
But when I made IPA with AIR sdk 51.1.1, it was not crushed.
But after several days I published another apps with sdk 51.1.1, AIR showed next message.
“Validation failed(409)
SDK version issue. This app was built with the iOS 17.0 SDK. All iOS and iPADOS apps
Must be built with the iOS 18 SDK or later, included in Xcode 16 or later, in order to be
Uploarded to App Store Connect or submitted for distribution. (ID…….)”
So I use used AIR sdk 51.1.3, (iOS SDK 18.2), but same error was showed. WHY?

JAVA setting under

Cahnged Adt.cfg is under, but irrelevant of IPA.

Default is to prefiix the package with 'air.' - to turn this off, uncomment the below line

#AddAirToAppID=false

If you need to increase the heap available to Java when packaging an Android app, you can use the below setting

when ADT is run from another tool. (If run from the command line, just add -Xmx=2048m or similar to the command

line within the ADT launch script..)

#JavaXmx=2048m

For debugging, set this to 'true' and a file "adt.log" should be generated in your user's home folder

#DebugOut=true

To override the creation of an Android APK file, and to instead create an Android App Bundle, the below

flag can be uncommented. Note that the bundle may end up with an "apk" file extension

CreateAndroidAppBundle=true

I ve got the same issue: my apps crashes on test iPads when i use AIR SDK: 51.2.2.3 and AIR SDK 51.2.2.2, but when i use AIR sdk 51.1.1 everything is OK, but when submitting app to appstore I ve got the same: “Validation failed(409) SDK version issue. This app was built with the iOS 17.0 SDK. All iOS and iPADos apps.Must be built with the iOS 18 SDK or later, included in Xcode 16 or later.

I have latest update of MacOS Sonoma and Xcode 16 +, use Intellij IDEA for my project

Hi

For both of these - as well as the crash log, we need to have a data file that contains the symbols which you can generate using instructions at: https://airsdk.harman.com/support#ipa_symbols (see IPASymbolFile setting in the config file).

For the 51.1 branch, we wondered about doing a release that will update those version numbers so that people can still use this branch for the latest Apple and Android requirements.. let me check on that.
