For young adults raves were dance parties set to trippy tunes in a mellow, stigma-free, slightly psychedelic atmosphere inspired by music festivals of the 70's. Bright colored colthes, baggy pants, and headwear were popularly worn.

As rave music was popular, so was its fashion: bright colors and many smiley faces.

Ravers fashion was a very hippie look and was usually worn to festivals. These festivals were very calm and rarely any outbreaks. They wore loose fitting clothing in pastels and bright colors.
