Let’s be honest, it is very rare we come across photographers who shake us instantly, make us believe in the magic of photography at its very rawest again; photographers who get engraved in our hearts from the first sight to their work. Spurred by the recent '100 Most influential photographers of all time' list, we were curious as to who our fans and audience thought were the most influential Asian photographers.

Critically acclaimed Chinese photographer Fan Ho spent the 1950s and 60s taking gritty and darkly beautiful photos of street life in Hong Kong. His photographs, to be published in his new book “Fan Ho:A Hong Kong Memoir,” reach back through time and space to connect us to the everyday sights of this bustling metropolis in a way that many of us have never seen before.
