Horsefly @ 6× (microscope objective test + stereo)

Tabanus sp. (Diptera, Tabanidae) The last stack of this horsefly with a borrowed Mitutoyo M Plan APO 5/0.14 microscope objective, now at higher magnification. 239 exposures were taken with 0,02mm steps. Stacked in Zerene Stacker PMax method, retouched in ZS and PS. The edges were cropped (only 4%), resized to 4000px. I have added the stereogram made with Zerene, find it below! Jan Rosenboom on Instagram: "Bory - digital diatom arrangement #5 😊 Here is another digital arrangement of diatoms. The forms in this sample are just so beautiful that I just had to make one of these. :) This time it was born a bit out of necessity as the diatoms in question are so small that making such an arrangement in reality would be really hard even for me as a practiced arranger. I will try in the future though.😅 Also, taking a photo like this of such an arrangement at a decent magnification and not ruining the slide in the process would be close to impossible as you need oil immersion objectives for that. 🔬 With such objectives the distance between the slide and the objective is as low as 0.2 mm and you always apply some pressure on the arrangement almost always leading to some Micro Organisms Microscopic Images, Mycelium Photography, Diatoms Art, Cell Photography Microscopic Images, Sand Under Microscope, Ecosystem Art, Macro Insect Photography, Macro Photography Insects, Microscopic Organisms
