If and when the Frank bill passes they'll be closed down anyway. They won't get a license as they've "broken the rules" by dealing to the US market, and will have to stop dealing to Americans or face the long arm of US law - which they'll likely think twice about.

I didn't elaborate then because I didn't want to derail the thread, but now that the flaw seems to be fixed, it's less of an issue.

Comparing Stars' rewards system to the Cereus cheating scandal is beyond ridiculous, so I won't even bother elaborating on that one - you can go ahead and try to explain that if you like, but I think you'd be better off letting it go. As for the "2+2 powers that be", WTF is that supposed to mean? Has some 2+2 admin secretly told everyone to scorn your post? AFAIK it's been scorned because it's outrageously bad. And finally, to summarize all the shady things that have happened at Cereus over the last few years as "a little bit of cheating" is pretty disingenuous IMO.

If you're American and decide to play there because you have very few choices and you make a lot more money there, I get that. I still think you should be taking your business elsewhere, but it is at least somewhat understandable. No such excuse for non-Americans who have a tonne of good choices. But regardless, minimizing how shady they have been is silly. You make more money there, fine, but don't try telling us crap like the Stars reward system is worse than the Cereus cheating scandal.

I think Stars only gives small volume tourney and sng players 15% rakeback which is much lower than FTP and Cereus... more money has been taken out of the poker community by this decision by Stars to only offer competitive rakeback to high volume players, than what was ever stolen by AP/UB.
There is a clear anti Cereus sentiment on 2+2, we can't convert Cereus hands on 2+2 converter etc.
and partially I'm just trolling the thread because 150 Z0MG AP steals our money is pretty boring. But the way Stars rakes and breaks their low volume players is pretty criminal, even if it is less deceptive than AP's theft

i think a big solution to the problem would be for a different "third" big site to come out and be successful. the main reason anyone still plays at UB/AP is because its the only site they can get rakeback on and it has decent traffic unlike merge/cake.

if legislation ever gets passed, you can kiss AP/UB goodbye. until then though, i think they will still have good traffic due to them being the 3rd largest site that accepts americans... even if they lie, cheat, and steal.

Most of the traffic there is bots though....

Thomas and I got the same e-mail, but no real response explaining what happened, what other games were affected, and how people will be compensated. Closest we've seen is joesebok saying on twitter "will obv be repaying those who lost money."

Right now, the Keno game has actually been taken off the site (actually all three Keno games that they had up). That's sorta weird since they claim to have fixed the issue already...

I received this e-mail from UB support regarding this Keno issue. It's interesting that they mention the only problem came from their "play 10 feature" My friend and I actually found that the exact same pattern existed when playing single games as well. The pattern began as soon as you "won" your first single game then the pattern of 5 kicked in to affect just as it did with the play 10 feature...nonetheless it was not random and it's nice to see Cereus having to spend time and effort to fix this issue.

A recent analysis revealed that our Keno games (Klub Keno, Traditional Keno, Instant Keno 40 ball and Instant Keno 80 ball) had little to no action. For this reason, we have removed these games to focus more heavily on improving the other casino games that have generated more interest from our customers.

Also, we have recently been made aware of a issue with a Keno game offered to our players. The game affected was the ‘ten play’ option of Traditional Keno.

Keno is provided to us by Betsoft Gaming (BSG), a third party software provider. We are one of several licensees worldwide that offer the BSG casino suite. BSG’s RNG has been fully tested and certified Random by Technical Systems Testing (TST).

Initial findings indicate that there is no issue with the RNG, but rather a flaw specific to the game logic in ‘ten play’ only on Traditional Keno. Betsoft Gaming was contacted upon notice of the flaw, immediately after which, the issue was corrected.

A full investigation is being performed on our end as well as by BSG. We are eager to obtain all details and will share those findings with the gaming community.
