3K views · 4.3K reactions | 8 SECRETS to getting the MOST for your furniture flips! 1. Do away with outdated trim! Sometimes it really adds character to a piece, but most of the time, chunky decorative moulding can make your piece look old. 2. Fill grain (especially on surfaces to be painted) for a perfect finish. 3. Do not skimp on your filling and repairs! The zoom function is a secret to none, so make sure your pieces are as zoom proof as possible 4. Implement wood features whenever you can and only if it fits! Learn to do veneer patching as well as grain painting. 5. Invest in tools and products that make the results better and here's the kicker: they make it easier too! 6. Do a final inspection once you're done (really you should be inspecting all the time), and fix any remaining flaws with a small brush 7. Improve and build upon your piece whenever necessary! Trim a base, build one from scratch, improve the structure- there's lots you can do to improve both the functionality and aesthetic of furniture. 8. New hardware can be game-changing for your piece! Shop local thrift stores, Amazon for affordable options. Hope this helps and SAVE this post for later! #paintedfurniture #furnitureflip #refinisheddresser #refinishedfurnituretour #restoration #thriftflip #furniturerefinishing #painteddresser #dıy #refinishedfurniture #dressermakeover #furniturerestoration #dresser #furnituremakeover #furnitureflip #woodworking #diy | Charlie • furniture upcycling & diy | hollysgarage · Original audio
