Verily Said
05:08
|
|
||
I stood in the snowy pines’ view -
It captured my eyes once again.
The pathways bring always to you
By whispers of winds in your hand.
The farther we wander away,
The longer your rivers will flow.
We’ll meet when it’s over, someday -
Under the clear skies of home.
Verily said,
This dreadful tide
Is the deadly triumph of the White Light.
What shall we leave
And bury behind,
To put an end to falling skyline?
Dragging through the squall
We face disdain and madness,
Amidst the ice and snow
Hearing nighthawk’s cries.
The nature so wise and old
Began to starve and fall.
In this final war of cold
Where could we find allies?
We’ll cover lands with our ways
To seek for the signs of new sun -
A seed that will burst into flames,
And make all your grasses reborn.
The farther we wander away,
The longer your rivers will flow.
We’ll meet when it’s over, someday -
Under the clear skies of home.

On the Autumn Road
03:48
|
|
||
On the autumn road
In the early fog
Something in the air’s getting wrong.
Traces in moonlight
Make us easy-chased
By the hungry eyes of Unnamed.
We have gone so far,
Racing with the beasts,
To the place where lore still exists.
Quietly we come
Trying every step
There’s no single chance to turn back.
Like a warden left unknown
In the land of waves and frost
Giant tower waits alone
At the edge of rocky coast.
On the autumn road
Rusty stains of blood
Suddenly explode sedate hearts.
Howling wind in trees
Now remains Their call
Drawing out our souls to enthral.
Grieving humid soil
Spreads its clammy fear -
Hunters for our breath are coming near.
We must never stop
Warmth of our hands
Shouldn’t face the end in these lands.
Remnants of forsaken lore
Show the path in evil mist.
Stand against the sleepy glow.
Run, until you can’t resist.
Like a warden left unknown
In the land of waves and frost,
Giant tower waits alone
At the edge of rocky coast.

The Lights of Skellige
07:33
|
|
||
Gjennom nattenes himmel, i stjernenes skin,
Jeg vandrer alene, vet ikke hvor jeg skal inn.
Gjennom kulden jeg går, mitt hjerte er støtt,
For nordlyset, ja nordlyset, det bærer mitt skjøtt.
Have you ever seen the skies in green and violet,
Those which give us birth?
Have you ever heard the cries of grief and hunger,
Those which are harbingers of death?
Have you ever looked into the eyes of mother,
Seeking crops to feed the child,
Praying for her man to come alive
In the calling shine
of the Northern Lights.
Freezing waves show the pathway:
We set sail towards home.
Leaving dead in the pyre:
My last arrow lets them go.
Så i den kalde natten, under nordlysets bølge,
Finner jeg mitt hjem, i lysets varme ølge.
Together we fought,
And together we stand
With bodies covered in red.
May this be unsung,
And we pray the rain
To help us forget.
Covered with blood
Fight to live,
Fight to let your home survive,
Drowned in the dark
Running wheel
Of the starving winter night.
Once the time will come
For the peace
To encompass our days…
Now we must go,
Ply our swords,
Guided by the ancient ways.
In the flying sail view
Northern Lights will call you…
Have you ever seen the skies in green and violet,
Those which mean you’re home?
Have you ever heard the cries of joy and laughter,
Those which are harbingers of spring?
Have you ever looked into the eyes of mother,
Feeding your young child?
Grateful to the sea you’ve come alive.
In the welcome shine
of the Northern Lights.

Lilac and Gooseberries
06:14
|
|
||
One more night your mind will relent
In lilac and gooseberries scent.
Your last wish defined the unease
In tapestry of destinies.
The hard blaring quake
Of runaway force
Has tied roles.
The quietness of lake
Won’t be vital source
For insatiable souls.
Swear I won’t ever find you broken
By the powers you don’t understand.
Now and after this creature aims to make you wish.
And its laughter will hardly be a wilful dish.
You won’t stop, you won’t drop
Power driving you atop, even if they bleed.
Keeping strong all night long,
Fighting death you’re not alone.
You’ll gather what you need
When the last wish is complete.
The hard blaring quake
Of runaway force
Has tied roles.
The quietness of lake
Won’t be vital source
For insatiable souls.
Swear you won’t perceive the days broken
With what I’ll do to draw your death away.
Now and after - three wishes always will prevail.
Final chapter - this is the end of fairy-tale.
We won’t stop, we won’t drop
Struggle driving us atop, even if I bleed.
Keeping strong all days long,
Seeking birth you’re not alone.
You’ll gather what you need.
My last wish is complete.
The hard blaring quake
Of runaway force
Has tied roles.
The quietness of lake
Won’t be vital source
For insatiable souls.
One more night your mind will relent
In lilac and gooseberries scent.

Unseen Companion
06:30
|
|
||
This deadly passage
Is squeezing mind with ice
Of the constant threat.
But we struggle,
Since its fateful dice
Hasn’t chosen yet
At last, we reached the cloudy height,
Our feet made trails in onyx sand.
The place where starlight governs night,
The hall, where time has no direction.
We walked around by window glass and heard
a loud knock from the outside.
The shadows we’d seen were getting clear,
Shaping a figure in a decrepit cloak.
Its ashen skull with unnatural grin
Was lightened by the timeless glow.
It’s sight was like a crowd of dark
Creatures around who were
In lust for living flesh.
But it remained so calm as if
The hunt was done by old
Dry hands for centuries.
We stepped behind pursued
By shade on top of skies
As it was always in there.
Searching for lore we came
Too far and reached the realm
Where no-one can help to get out.
Quiet laughter of the deity
Shook our hearts with primal stun.
It raised one hand to stars above us,
And waved the other across the pile of sand.
Its empty eyeholes
Have crashed the mental chains -
And brought us to the gate:
We go further,
Since the hand of fate
Hasn’t touched us yet
Thus we have abandoned that realm:
No life was in its endless turn.
Far-floating stars have never made night warmer,
Perception of the end brought sense to life.

Farewell, Vesemir
01:59
|
|
||
The light’s showing up in the cloud
The sea waves are calling your name,
Our hands will pull silently out
The arrows which seek for the flame.
The longbows twanged like the harps.
You were brave as the bear by all odds.
The fire’s now raising its sparks.
My friend, you will soon meet the gods.
Reflections in your shining sword
Will show them the eyes of your sons,
That you raised as men of their word,
Which is told by their hands, not their tongues.
The farther we wander away,
The longer her rivers will flow.
Farewell, we shall meet once again,
When the stars will become our home.

Time of Contempt
04:22
|
|
||
Time of contempt
Approached us,
Under the crowns of hoary pines.
They came carrying frenetic
Age in the banners of the Flames.
Their swords and drunk eyes
Looked so blunt, awaking primal wrath.
Strike! They’re ready for final rest on wet moss.
Strike! Tendons will cry for dead
Falling on the injured earth.
Where the trees guard us…
Where the wolves bring death…
Those who live short lives
Should avoid these lands…
Woods tell us: “Reclaim!”.
Reclaim your past, your future
From the hands of strangers.
Time of contempt
Will bring us
To the days we dreamed so long.
Time of contempt
Will bring us
To the days we dreamed so long.

Brotherhood of Brenna
07:13
|
|
||
"Less passionate the long war throws
its burning thorn about all men,
caught in one grief, we share one wound,
and cry one dialect of pain.
We have forgot who fired the house
Whose easy mischief spilled first blood
Under one raging roof we lie
The fault no longer understood
But as our twisted arms embrace the desert where our cities stood
Death’s family likeness in each face must show at last our brotherhood"
--- Lauree Lee
What is left behind your back?
Which roads you went to meet?
What was ended by your hand?
Whom you preferred to be?
The end of the chapter is close.
Abyss has grown from the seed.
Gainfully breaking the oath
They turned against brothers in greed.
Flushed by the power and faith
Insolently marching in lines
They lust for the mass to obey
And break any will to defy.
Steel became harder to hide
Drawing black into red.
There was enough time to fight
Now it is time to regret.
What is held behind your back?
Whose dagger is waiting for me?
You and I will die today
What soil you prefer to sleep in?
Sorrow and hatred of wars
Took all the feelings to haze.
Some will give keys to their doors:
Venality works in both ways.
The end of the chapter is close.
Abyss has grown from the seed.
Gainfully breaking the oath
They issued an order to bleed.
Steel became harder to hide
Drawing black into red.
There was enough time to fight
Now it is time to regret.
My brother, I see rays of light
Carrying us to forget.
We both fought for lies.
My brother, it’s time to regret.

Dagger, Wood and Fire
03:56
|
|
||
Dagger carves the hidden way,
Wood devotes itself to aim,
Fires open gate of realm
Under ward of sacred elm.
Stone will make resistance fade,
Cinder soils the hand with shade,
Hear the shout of eyes turned black -
Smoke will bring the echo back.
Roots will open endless deep,
Herbs will not allow to sleep,
Bringing life to hearts of stone -
Silver sword, it’s time to go:
All of what we now belong
Ended by the age we yearn.
Dagger, wood and fire
Desire us to let it burn.
Dagger carves the hidden way,
Wood devotes itself to aim,
Fires open gate of realm,
Under ward of sacred elm:
We can hear the howling wind,
Summoning the ancient bind,
Talking of the world of men
In the need for guard again.
They bear monsters in the mist
Not by essence of the beast.
Wind will sing a farewell song
My old friend, it’s time to go:
All of what we now belong
Ended by our finest job.
Dagger, wood and fire
Desire us to let it burn.
Vibing strings can reach what lies beyond
Leaving world of human sins.
Bard will sing in final chapter’s verse:
Something ends, Something begins.
Dagger carves the hidden way,
Wood devotes itself to aim,
Fires open gate of realm
Under ward of sacred elm:
We can see the fields of time
In the smoke of burning thyme,
Voice will turn to shining wings
Guiding to the hidden springs
Door is calling us to come
Asking us to look and learn -
Time will tell its endless flow,
Beloved witch, it’s time to go:
All of what we now belong
Ended by the age we yearn.
Dagger, wood and fires
Desire us to let it burn.
Vibing strings can reach what lies beyond
Leaving world of human sins.
Bard will sing in final chapter’s verse:
Something ends, Something begins.

Your Rivers
05:11

|

The pathways bring always to you
By whispers of wind in your hand.
The farther we wander away,
The longer your rivers will flow.
We’ll meet when it’s over, someday -
Under the clear skies of home.
Heaven will wait
While we walk our way,
Through fire and stone
We’ll reach our home.
Endless ice you confined,
Made your green eyes divine.
Followed by bloody sand
You shall find promised land.
Heaven will wait
While we walk our way,
Through fire and stone
We’ll reach our home.
