"the movies" were a once standard small movie theater chain operated by United Artists (UA) commonly found in many malls around the late 1970s and early 1980s.   Amazingly, this four-screen version, likely one of the only ones left over from many decades ago remains fully intact at the somewhat timewarped and dilapidated Schuylkill Mall in Frackville, Pennsylvania -- a common reststop on the toll-free I-81 stretch.
