How We Made MuseScore 4 - Music App Design is Challenging!

Free, easy to learn, amazing quality
I've been using MuseScore since around 2019. The program is free and all of the features are available for free, as the product is open source. With the recent 4.0 update allowing for the usage of VST3 effects, as well as the already available usage of soundfonts, many different sounds can be achieved.
It's definitely different from a standard DAW as MuseScore is primarily for creating sheet music. It has an entire site dedicated to sharing the sheet music created in the program. Getting past the sheet music aspect, it can still be utilized for music creation like any other program.
My only current issue is the fact it is near impossible in MuseScore 4 to change the sound patch of a track. While this can be achieved with Plogue Sforzando, MuseScore 3 had the native ability to change the individual sound patch of a track, which was useful if a soundfont did not use Standard GM banks. This is only a minor issue as the app has really high quality notation.
