1. (past-tense suffix) Forms the first-person plural past tense of verbs (indicative mood, indefinite conjugation).

   ‎tanít (“to teach”) + ‎-ottunk → ‎tanítottunk (“we taught”)

   Gimnáziumban tanítottunk nyelveket. ― We taught languages in high school.

• (past-tense suffix) Variants:

  -tunk is added to most back-vowel verbs
