Dorcan Comprehensive School was built in the 1970s, later becoming Dorcan Technology College. The ethos of the school is to allow access to a broad curriculum which covers both academic and work-related learning giving students the choice of which path their education should follow. Most students opt to combine the two leaving their options open for [[further education]].

Dorcan Comprehensive School was built in the 1970s.
