Core Competencies
Digital Signage
Microspace’s technology powers a large number of digital signage networks around the world.

Their deployment represents signage in approximately 10,000 locations and nearly 30,000 individual signage displays. Their deployment for Abercrombie & Fitch includes the distribution of digital signage to 400 Hollister retail stores. Additional networks include i-am TV, OOH Vision, DrinksTV and CompUSA.

In fall 2006, analyst firm Frost & Sullivan named Microspace a leader in the digital signage market. The declaration was due to Microspace’s early entry into the market and to the size of its service deployment, the most robust in the industry.

Microspace’s VELOCITY® is a high-speed video, data, and audio broadcasting service is used to deliver content for these signage networks at affordable rates. VELOCITY FILE FORWARD® services can be used to send business critical information inexpensively without paying for a full-time satellite channel or signing a long-term satellite contract.

In addition to content delivery, Microspace offers content creation, content aggregation, equipment installation and overall network management.

Digital Cinema
In 2006, Microspace had commitments from twelve theatre chains to deliver movies to 24 locations and delivered ten movies to theatres for Disney and Paramount Pictures including:

• Dreamgirls
• Glory Road
• 8 Below
• Cars
• Shaggy Dog
• She’s the Man
• MI3
• Over the Hedge and
• Flushed Away.

In 2007 the company successfully delivered 11 feature films from five studios and grew its network to 1,000 screens with over a dozen participating theater circuits within the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The company also delivered some of the year’s largest grossing, blockbuster films to theaters, including:

• Transformers
• The Heartbreak Kid
• Disturbia
• Beowulf (both 2D and 3D)
• The Bee Movie
• Halloween
• The Game Plan
• 3:10 to Yuma
• Lions for Lambs
• National Treasure: Book of Secrets
• Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Today, the Microspace network is currently installed at 1,000 screens in 38 states with exhibitor commitments in place to expand the network to over 220 theatre locations connecting more than 2,200 screens by the middle of 2008.

Alternative Content to Theaters
In 2007, the movie theater industry began to embrace satellite delivered alternative content as a way to broaden their consumer base, add new content to screens and increase their revenue.

Microspace was already delivered live sports to theatres and considers the delivery of sports, concerts, and other “live” events as viable and attractive content for studios and theaters.
