The flag is a [[Banner of arms|banner of the arms]] of [[Rutland County Council]], which were granted to the council in 1950. The description is [[Vert (heraldry)|vert]], [[wikt:semée|semée]] of acorns, a horseshoe [[Or (heraldry)|or]].
