Note on merger
editThere is another page on Wikipedia called Sid Sheinberg. Since Sid and Sidney Sheinberg are the same person a merger should be considered as soon as possible. --Ianmacm 20:50, 26 July 2006 (UTC)ianmacm
Sheinberg vs. Nintendo
editI added info about Sheinberg's dealings with Nintendo. I'm interested to see if it meets Wiki's criteria for properly cited controversal material (I linked to Sheff's book and the main article about the case). If anybody knows a way to be "more neutral", please let me know.
Controversies section removed
editI have removed the 'controversies' section in accordance with Wikipedia's BLP policy, as it contained unsourced negative allegations. Those paragaphs could be reinstated if sources are found, but in any case it's not really clear how significant the supposed 'controversies' are. I also edited the section about the Nintendo litigation slightly for neutrality and to remove similarly poorly sourced statements. Robofish (talk) 16:11, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
Brazil Controversy?
editNothing at all on the significant controversy between Terry Gilliam and Sheinberg over the film Brazil? Seems to me a major omission. 67.180.44.133 (talk) 00:58, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
- You can see some of the removed changes in [1] and if you wanted to re-add the Brazil stuff by citing the book "The Battle of Brazil" by Jack Mathews, and/or the footage in [2], that would probably satisfy even the most picky of editors. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.36.196.171 (talk) 00:00, 22 December 2013 (UTC)
Studio vice president in the late 60ies or begining of the 70ies.
editStudio vice president Sidney Sheinberg was impressed by the film of s.s., which had won a number of awards, and offered Spielberg a seven-year directing contract. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.41.3.21 (talk) 09:50, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
