Flange Bearing Frogs serve some of the purposes of Switched crossings, put the two systems seem to have different limitations.

FBF clearly can work on 90 degrees crossings (1 in 0) but are limited to say 16km/h.

SC would probably be limited to 1 in 7.5 crossings (15 degrees) but can operate up to 300km/h.

As it stands today, the FBF page failed to mention SC.
