Pretty interesting article. Covers the seismological point well. Two points I considered:

  • References: Almost enough, except where I pointed out in the lead.
  • Coverage: How did the earthquake affect Japanese history? With all that destruction, it must have disrupted fishing at least, did it have an effect on the economy? The Ansei Earthquake in the 19th c. greatly affected the people's perceptions of their leaders and even artists created works related to that earthquake. Was there a similar effect after the 1498 earthquake?

Good luck! Boneyard90 (talk) 18:15, 6 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I added some extra inline cites, note that the IISEE catalogue gives the time, but a different date (11th), although 20th is given by all other sources that I can find. As to the effects on the people, I've not been able to find any sources that cover this - they probably exist, but most likely in Japanese. Mikenorton (talk) 23:07, 6 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
I changed the References evaluation. When I get a chance, I'll look through the Japanese Wikipedia to see of there's any relevant information. Boneyard90 (talk) 23:53, 6 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
