Sandhya Roy is an Indian actress and politician.[1][2] She is known for her work in Bengali cinema. She is the recipient of BFJA Award for four times,[3] and one Filmfare Awards East best actress for Ganadevata.

Roy made her silver screen debut with Mamlar Phol (1956).[4]
Political career
editIn 2014, she contested a seat in the Lok Sabha election for the Trinamool Congress and won the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Medinipur constituency and became a Member of Parliament of India.[5]
