Hello! I'm an editor that has contributed to Mercury (element), and noticed your edit there. Specifically, that it was marked as "minor", which has a specific meaning on Wikipedia. Minor edits are generally those that do not change the meaning of the article. This is appropriate for the edit made to Dihydrogen monoxide parody, but not for the one made to Fluorapatite. Also, in the latter case, you mention that the mineral is used in fluoridated toothpaste, but there is no reference to support that statement, and it is not stated anywhere later on in the article (since the first few paragraphs of an article should summarize the full text - though this is probably). In the future, please mark edits as minor only when they meet the specific definition of minor, e.g., correcting a typo or adding a link. Otherwise, editors might not review the changes made. I made a mistake earlier in my evaluation of the dental fluoride statement and have crossed it out. The sentiment applies more to something like the edit on Period 7 element, which needs to provide a reference(s) for the occurrence of radioactive elements. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to me. I added references to the edit on Period 7 element, and I will keep in mind what you have told me. Grendon84 (talk) 14:29, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Your edits are appreciated, especially now when it feels like fewer people than ever are writing about mathematics and the physical sciences on this site. Reconrabbit 14:35, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop removing "the".

[edit]

Maybe you are having a bad day, but don't take it out on us. Please stop these trivial and pointless edits of "the". Johnjbarton (talk) 16:40, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
