Help making page for Draft:Machiko Noguchi? Molarium (talk) 11:53, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Molarium: Hey there! Thanks for reaching out to me - it is appreciated that my contributions would prompt you to approach me. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with this character at all and would likely be a hindrance more than a contributor. Should the subject matter be notable and the sources are in place, its ascension to the mainstream should not be a problem. BOTTO (TC) 18:49, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

[edit]
The Special Barnstar
Stopped by your page, saw your note. Hope you're doing better, and any time away from Wikipedia is restful! Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs talk 17:03, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@David Fuchs: What a delightful and unexpected message to receive! Yes; I'm doing much better overall, as my anxiety disorder ceased after an intense three weeks. It took a massive amount of logic to outweigh my emotions, but it wasn't a complete waste, as the whole ordeal led me to rethink certain interactions with others. I really appreciate you and all that you've done. BOTTO (TC) 20:05, 8 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@David Fuchs: On a side note, I like how you handled Neichus' inclusion on the DotA page. Fun fact: it's a common misconception that Guinsoo handed the game to Neichus; Guinsoo strayed away from the game and in order to save it from dying, Neichus convinced Pendragon to use the official website to support him as the new developer, while he had IceFrog unprotect & gain access to the map. Orphaned non-free image File:Counter-Strike Logo.png

[edit]
⚠
Thanks for uploading File:Counter-Strike Logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:11, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This is totally fair. POEFTWADLFTL did a great job with updating the logo. BOTTO (TC) 12:28, 27 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please use my talk page for communication

[edit]

I rarely log into that account. Don't expect future emails sent there to be answered in a timely fashion. OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:26, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Ohnoitsjamie: Apologies. The reason I have emailed rather than comment is because this is an extremely persistent (and frankly creepy) stalker -- we're talking two-plus years and counting. I certainly don't enjoy the attention they have given me, after I did nothing more than revert them from vandalizing AN/I one day. BOTTO (TC) 16:45, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:23 Jump Street

[edit]

Hello, Botto. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "23 Jump Street".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 17:49, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free use of File:Lego Minecraft.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Lego Minecraft.png. However, there is a concern that the use of the image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. Details of this problem, and which specific criteria that the image may not meet, can be obtained by going to the image description page. If you feel that this image does meet those criteria, please place a note on the image description or talk page explaining why. Do not remove the {{di-fails NFCC}} tag itself.

An administrator will review this file within a few days, and having considered the opinions placed on the image page, may delete it in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion or remove the tag entirely. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 06:25, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team
