Materials Science and Engineering is an interdisciplinary field involving the properties of matter and its applications to various areas of science and engineering. This discipline involves a study of materials starting with design, followed by synthesis and processing, structure and properties of the materials. This integrated approach distinguishes this discipline from the individual components, such as physics, chemistry, and many others.
Wikiversity's Department of Materials Science and Engineering is part of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
