Selene
[edit]- (Voiceover, Opening Narration): For six-centuries, I was a loyal soldier of the Vampire clan; but I was betrayed: The war was not as it had seemed: In one night, the lies that had united our kind had been exposed. Kraven, our second in command, had formed a secret alliance with Lucian, ruler of the werewolf clan, to overthrow Viktor, our leader; but Kraven's lust for power and domination had failed. Viktor was not the savior I had been led to believe; he had betrayed us all. Soon, the hunt will be on for his killer. I have but one ally left; Michael... the human descendant of Corvinus; neither Vampire nor Lycan, but a hybrid. Its only a matter of time before we're found...
- (Voiceover): My only hope now is to awaken Marcus, our last remaining Elder, and expose the truth, before Kraven tries to murder him while he's still in hibernation. Kraven knows he's no match for him awake.
- (About Lycans) They do. This one's been given a serum to stop regression so it can be studied.
- (About Lycans) I just killed them. I didn't pay much attention to their anatomy.
- These safehouses are all linked together on one mainframe with motion sensors revealing which ones are active. Someone could have picked us up already.
- ...If I can plead my case, there's a chance you'll be granted sanctuary. Right now, you'll be killed on sight. I'm not prepared to risk it.
- You're not as strong as you might think.
- Michael, You're unique. There's never been a Hybrid before. However ambivalent you might feel about it, the truth is your powers could be limitless... But you depend on blood. You need to feed. Without it, you'll be growing weaker by the second. Use the time for that.
- Normal food could be lethal. If you don't anticipate your cravings, you will attack Humans... And, believe me, you don't want that on your conscience. There really is no going back, Michael. I'm sorry.
- (Sees that Michael has been shot, repeatedly) Michael? Oh, Shit!
- (To Marcus) Viktor deserved his fate... and Kraven was no better.
- (In Russian) Mind if I drive?
- (About Sonja's Pendent being open) I've seen this before, when I was a child. I've held it. When it was open like this.
- Andreas Tanis; he was the Official Historian of the Covens. He fell from favor after documenting what Viktor considered "Malicious Lies". Of course, as it turns out, he was probably telling the truth. ... He was Exiled over Three-hundred years ago. ... I was the one who exiled him.
- (About Tanis' prison being a Monastery) It used to be. More like a prison now. Tanis has been hiding there since Viktor's order. We'll be the first people he's seen in centuries.
- Tanis, I see your aim hasn't improved.
- (To Tanis) Your exile seems a bit more comfortable that I remember.
- (About Viktor) Betrayal was something he did very well. Viktor's dead. I killed him!
- (To Tanis) Viktor put you here for a reason, but I doubt it was because you had moral qualms. What do you know?
- (To Tanis) Oh. Well, then, perhaps I'm mistaken and there's no use for you at all.
- So, the legend is true?
- So in Viktor's mind... William's death would mean the end for all Lycans... his slaves.
- (About Tanis) He's not brave enough to set me up.
- (In French) We're here to see Lorenz Macaro.
- (In French) So you want to see my hands, do you? (Holds up Sonja's Pendent)
- (Recognizes the emblem on Lorenz Macaro's signet ring) You're Alexander Corvinus!
- You know what Marcus will do. If he finds me , he finds William's Prison. You need to help us stop him.
- -Anything I've done can be laid at your feet. Hundreds of thousands have died because of you inability to accept that your sons are monsters, that they create monsters. You could have stopped this.
- You know the devastation William caused before he was captured. He cannot be set free.
- (Selene's Blood Memory) Father. No. (Starts sobbing)
- No. No. Michael. Look at me. Michael. Shit. Please. Please. Come on. Come on. Fuck! (Starts sobbing)
- (To Samuel, about Michael) Don't leave him here.
- (To Alexander) You are the only one Older than he is... the only one Stronger... you could have killed him yourself.
- What will I become.
- (Voiceover): An unknown chapter lies ahead. The lines that had divided the Clans have now been blurred. Chaos and infighting are inevitable. All that is certain is that Darkness is still ahead. But for now, for the first time... I look into the light with New Hope...
Michael
[edit]- I thought Lycans went back to their Human form when they die.
- Ah. Not quite your department, I guess.
- There's only about an hour 'till daylight. Can you even make it back to the mansion before sunrise.
- What am I supposed to do, wait here and wait for you? No! Kraven may still have his men with him. You're not going alone!
- Look, I understand what you did. I'm grateful. You saved my life. I wasn't ready to die. I don't know. Everything's changed. I probably need just a minute to make it all fit in my head. It's a lot to process all at once.
- Look, go. I'll be here. You just make sure you come back.
- You've got to get away from me!
- Get away from me!
- I said get the fuck away from me!
- Three hundred years. What makes you think we're gonna find him now?
- How does a Vampire have Lycan bodyguards?
- (To Tanis) Why would Lucian wanna protect you?
- (To Tanis) Marcus was after this. Why? (Throws Tanis Sonja's Pendent)
- (To Tanis) Why is Marcus looking for him now... after all this time?
- How do we know Tanis isn't setting us up?
Marcus
[edit]- My God! Brother, what have you done?
- Viktor, he must not be harmed.
- I will stay and fight, you need my help!
- [seeing William attacked by vampires] No! Leave him be!
- STOP THIS, YOU'RE KILLING HIM!
- (To Viktor) He was not to be harmed! Place him in my charge, as we agreed, or you will pay for your deceit.
- What is thy will, my lord?
- [to Kraven, after being awakened by the blood of the lycan Singe] The blood memories of this... wretched creature... have shown me that your treachery knows no bounds.
- (To Kraven) Why would I listen to your lies... when the journey to the truth... is so much sweeter...
- (To Selene) I know what you've done, Selene.
- Kraven has already reaped the rewards of his own misdeeds. And Viktor: Viktor deserved his fate, many times over...
- [to Selene] A terrible business, the slaying of your family. Yet so much effort was spent to conceal this matter from me. What do you suppose Viktor had to hide? Or perhaps, it is you, Selene, as the last of your wretched family, who has something to hide.
- Dead or alive, you will give me what I want!
- (Greets Tanis) Tanis. You seem anxious. Why do you flee the very sight of me? (Sits down) Please... sit. There's no need for this to be unpleasent. I've always rather enjoyed your company. (Tanis glances over to his armory, Marcus looks over at the weapons) Now you're being rude.
- Viktor struck two keys. What do you know of them?
- Soon, Brother.
- Hello, Father.
- Ah. The predictable heart, that never thaws. Pity it beats within such a fool. The Eldest of the Immortals... yet you have made no attempt to seize your Destiny.
- And that Petty Sentiment explains why you rejected your sons? Why you stood by for over half-a-millenium... while William suffered alone, in darkness? No, Father. I have respect for your petty sentiment. Viktor's key. Where is it?
- -Oh, I am stronger now. And the bond between us is greater than you have ever wanted to acknowledge.
- Oh, not Lycans, Father... or Vampires. A new race, created in the image of their maker... their New God. Me.
- (Last words to his Father) ...And a True God... has no Father.
Viktor
[edit]- [to Marcus, referring to a destroyed village] Yet again we arrived to witness this monster's aftermath. I will not tolerate this any longer, Marcus. Your brother must be stopped. It ends tonight!
- Your brother, is he still here?
- (To his men) Burn the bodies. Search the outbuildings.
- Marcus, stay with me.
- I need you alive. If you die, we all die. Go! GO!
- Find Amelia.
- Your sympathy for this beast is foolish. Your brother is entirely beyond control. It will be done my way.
- If you so much as speak his name again, you will have chosen that fate for him!
- [to Marcus, referring to his brother, William] Imprisonment for all time. Far from you.
- (In Selene's Blood Memory) They've gone. There, there, My Child. You are safe now.
Andreas Tanis
[edit]- [Selene has just fallen into one of his traps] Gotcha!
- I knew it was you, Selene. The stench of Viktor's blood still lingers in your veins.
- I've done what's necessary to survive. My decision was made easy the day your precious Viktor betrayed me.
- Some history is based on truth, and others on deception. Viktor was not the first of our kind, as you were led to believe. He was once human... the ruler of these lands. Marcus... he's the one. The source. The first true Vampire...
- (About Viktor) Toward the end of his ruthless life, when the next breath meant more to Viktor than silver or gold, Marcus came with a offer: a reprieve from sickness and death. Immortality. And in return, Viktor was to use his army, turned immortal, to help him.
- (Answering Selene's question) To defeat the very first Werewolves, a dangerous and infectious breed, created from Marcus's own flesh and blood: his twin brother, William. But these weren't the Lycans we know. (To Michael) Disgusting though your brethren may be, they at least have evolved. No, these were raging monsters, never able to take Human form again. It was only these later generations that learned to channel their rage. And William's appetite for destruction and rampage was insatiable. He had to be stopped. And so once Viktor's army was turned... the legions of Vampires under his control... tracked down and destroyed the animals... then captured William... and locked him away. Viktor's prisoner for all time.
- (Answering Selene's next question) For the same reason that Viktor never conspired against Marcus: Fear. He was warned that should Marcus ever killed... all those in his bloodline would follow him to the grave.
- Yes. Yes, a clever deception... but one Viktor was hardly willing to put to the test. And so Marcus was protected... at all costs.
- You should know. It's William's Prison. The prison your Father was commissioned to build.
- The Winter of Lucian's Escape. Your Father knew too much. Or too much for Viktor to risk... especially when Lucian... had the key, (holds up Sonja's Pendent,) to William's cell.
- Yes. The only one still living who has seen its location. Oh, Viktor realized you'd be too young to remember explicitly... but Marcus knows that the memory... and therefore the exact location of William's Prison... is hidden away in your blood.
- Well, one was... one was kept in plain sight... draped around his daughter's neck... right there for you to see.
- Kept with Viktor at all times.
- Within him. Beneath the flesh.
- (Blood Memory) I know who could stop him. Perhaps I could arrange a meeting. Go to pier 17. Ask for Lorenz Macaro.
Alexander Corvinus
[edit]- (To Samuel) The Innocent who witnessed, they've been silenced?
- (To Samuel) Show me what you have.
- And no trace of Marcus amongst the ashes?
- It was never his Coven.
- (To Samuel) Remain airborne for the moment. I'm sure they'll reappear in good time.
- There was a time that I was known by that name. (To Michael) But by any name, I am still your forefather.
- For centuries I have stood by and watched the havoc my sons have wrought upon each other, and upon Humanity. Not the legacy I prayed for the morning I watched them enter this world. And a tiresome duty... keeping the war contained, cleaning up the mess... hiding my family's unfortunate history.
- Could you kill your own sons?
- You are asking me to help you kill my son? You? A Death Dealer? How many innocents have you killed... in your six-century quest to avenge your family? Spare me your self-righteous declarations. You are no different than Marcus, and even less noble than William. At least he cannot control his savagery-.
- (To Marcus) You are unwelcome in my presence.
- We are oddities of Nature, you and I. Nothing more. This a world for Humanity.
- What ever you have planned for William is futile. You cannot control your Brother.
- You're wrong. Soon you'll be drowning in Lycans, just like before-
- (Last words to Marcus) You will Fail!
- (To Samuel) The time has come, my friend. Find the Girl. Bring her to me.
- No matter what he's become... he is my son. You are the only hope left. There is only one way to defeat him. (Slits his wrist open and offers her it) Quickly now... before there is no-more Legacy left in my veins.
- (Cryptically) The Future.
- (Last words) Go now.
Samuel
[edit]- (To Alexander Corvinus/Lorenz Macaro) Sir.
- But otherwise unharmed, as ordered.
- Yes Sir.
- Two Death Dealers were killed. We found no Lycan bodies. Apparently they were using a new kind of ammunition... some sort of UV round.
- (About Amelia and her ontourage) No one survived. It seems Kraven's men might have been present... but they did nothing to prevent it.
- (About Marcus) It seems he destroyed his own Coven, Sir.
- ...Supplies were taken. Used weapons were left behind. The tavern incident occurred before dawn, so they couldn't have gotten far.
- (Sees Alexander bleeding to death) Get the kit!
- (Looks at Alexander's blood pooling on the floor) Please, Sir. Let us help you.
- (To Selene) No, wait. Wait... If you want Marcus, you'll need Alexander's help.
- (About William Corvinus' prison) We're getting close.
- I don't see a way inside.
- (To his men) Looks like we're getting wet.
- (Offers Selene a scuba mask) Selene?
- (To Selene) Which way?
- (To Selene) Is this it?
- (To Selene, about the faded childlike painting on the dungeon wall) What is that?
- (About William Corvinus) He went right through there.
- (To Selene) All we have are UV rounds. They won't take him down.
- (Last Words, to one of his fellow Cleaners) You all right? (Right then is attacked by William Corvinus from behind)

- (Cleaner Pilot): What are you waiting for? Shoot them.
- (Cleaner Gunner): I can't. Not without taking her out. I can't get a shot.
- (Cleaner Pilot): (Helicopter being pulled down by Marcus) (To Cleaner Gunner) Cut us loose!
- (Cleaner Pilot): (Marcus pulls harder) (To Cleaner Gunner) We're going down!
Dialogue
[edit]- Marcus: [looking at the aftermath of William's attack on a village] My God! Brother, what have you done?
- Viktor: Yet again, we arrived to witness this monster's aftermath. I will not tolerate this any longer, Marcus. Your brother must be stopped! It ends tonight.
- Amelia: We must move quickly before they turn.
- Viktor: [to Marcus] Is he still here?
- Marcus: Yes. Viktor, he must not be harmed.
- Viktor: I gave you my word, did I not? But William must be controlled! [to his men] Burn the bodies! Search the outbuildings. [to Marcus] Marcus, stay with me.
- Viktor: Marcus, retreat to the woods!
- Marcus: I will stay and fight, you need my help!
- Viktor: I need you alive. If you die, we all die. Now, go! GO!
- [Realizing that William has been found, Marcus follows Amelia's forces from a distance. As he approaches William's location, Marcus hears William's roars of pain. Marcus comes across the sight of William surrounded by Vampire soldiers, being nailed through by silver grappling hooks on chains being fired from customized crossbows]
- Marcus: No! [to the soldiers] Leave him be! [the Vampire soldiers did not listen and continue to shoot down William] STOP THIS! YOU'RE KILLING HIM!
- [The soldiers continue until William falls to the ground, incapacitated]
- Marcus: [distraught] William...
- Viktor: [outraged] Marcus!
- Marcus: He was not to be harmed! Place him in my charge as we agreed, or you will pay for your deceit.
- Viktor: And you will learn your place. Your sympathy for this beast is foolish. Your brother is entirely beyond control. It will be done my way!
- Marcus: You know well the consequences if you murder me or William.
- Viktor: If you so much as speak his name again, you will have chosen that fate for him!
- [Marcus looks around for support for his brother's plight, only to see that the soldiers are pointing their crossbows at him)
- Marcus: [grudgingly] What is thy will, my Lord?
- Viktor: Imprisonment for all time, far from you.
- [Entering the safehouse, Selene and Michael are greeted by the sight of a dead Werewolf]
- Selene: This thing's been dead for weeks.
- Michael: I thought Lycans went back to their human form when they die.
- Selene: They do. This one's been given a serum to stop regression so it can be studied.
- Michael: How can you tell? [Selene shows a tag attached to the apparatus to Michael] Ah. Not quite your department, I guess.
- Selene: I just killed them. I didn't pay much attention to their anatomy.
- Michael: How long can we stay here?
- Selene: Not long. These safe houses are all linked together on one mainframe with motion sensors revealing which ones are active. Someone could have picked us up already. [Selene moves over to a weapons cabinet to stock up on weapons, ammo and other supplies. Michael looks at the computer read-out which shows the time left until sunrise]
- Michael: There's only about an hour 'till daylight. Can you even make it back to the mansion before sunrise?
- Selene: Just.
- Michael: Okay, let's get what we need and go.
- Selene: No, I'm going alone.
- [An awakened Marcus kills Kraven's men and pins Kraven to the wall with his wings]
- Kraven: Marcus?
- Marcus: The blood memories of this wretched creature [motions towards Singe's body] have shown me that your treachery knows no bounds.
- Kraven: My lord, I can explain.
- Marcus: Why would I listen to your lies when the journey to the truth is so much sweeter.
- [Marcus bites Kraven to sees Kraven's memories of what had transpired]
- Kraven: Please... I can assist you.
- Marcus: [enraged] Oh, you already have. [removes his wings and decapitates Kraven with it]
- Selene: If I can plead my case, there's a chance you'll be granted sanctuary. Right now, you'll be killed on sight. I'm not prepared to risk it.
- Michael: What am I supposed to do? Just sit here and wait for you? No! Kraven may still have his men with him. You're not going alone!
- Selene: You're not as strong as you might think.
- Michael: What?
- Selene: Michael, you're unique. There's never been a Hybrid before. However ambivalent you might feel about it, the truth is your powers could be limitless but you depend on blood. You need to feed. Without it, you'll be growing weaker by the second. [hands over a bag of cloned blood to Michael] Use the time for that.
- Michael: [unsettled] Jesus Christ! What if I don't? What if I can't...?
- Selene: Normal food could be lethal. If you don't anticipate your cravings, you will attack humans. And believe me, you don't want that on your conscience. There really is no going back, Michael. I'm sorry.
- Michael: Look, I understand what you did. I'm grateful, you saved my life. I wasn't ready to die. I don't know, everything's changed. I probably need just a minute to make it all fit in my head. It's a lot to process all at once. Look, go. I'll be here. You just make sure you come back.
- [Selene leaves the bunker, closing the door behind her]
- Samuel: Sir.
- Lorenz Macaro: The Innocent who witnessed, they've been silenced?
- Samuel: But otherwise unharmed, as ordered.
- Lorenz: Show me what you have.
- Samuel: Yes, sir.
- [They look at the computer and watch a footage of the Subway station, showing a team of Cleaners securing the scene of a shootout between Vampires and Lycans during the first film]
- Samuel: Two Death Dealers were killed. We found no Lycan bodies. Apparently they were using a new kind of ammunition, some sort of UV round.
- Lorenz: Amelia?
- [Samuel changes to another footage, showing the inside of a luxury train interior, containing the bodies of the Vampires Council and Lady Amelia]
- Samuel: No one survived. It seems Kraven's men might have been present but they did nothing to prevent it.
- Lorenz: And Viktor?
- [Samuel changes the footage which shows Viktor's body being bagged-up by Cleaners]
- Lorenz: And no trace of Marcus amongst the ashes?
- Samuel: It seems he destroyed his own Coven, Sir.
- Lorenz: It was never his Coven.
- Selene: Marcus.
- Marcus: I know what you've done, Selene.
- Selene: Viktor deserved his fate, and Kraven was no better.
- Marcus: Kraven has already reaped the rewards of his own misdeeds. And Viktor, Viktor deserved his fate, many times over. A terrible business, the slaying of your family. Yet so much effort was spent to conceal this matter from me. What do you suppose Viktor had to hide? Or perhaps, it is you, Selene, as the last of your wretched family, who has something to hide.
- Selene: [to Tanis] Your exile seems a bit more comfortable than I remember.
- Michael: How does a Vampire like you have Lycan bodyguards?
- Tanis: A gift, from a very persuasive client.
- [Selene notices a familiar blue light shining through the rips of a tapestry]
- Selene: Lucian.
- Michael: [to Tanis] Why would Lucian want to protect you?
- Selene: Because he was trading with them. [holds up a UV round] UV rounds. [to Tanis] How long have you been in the business of killing your own kind?
- Tanis: I've done what is necessary to survive. My decision was made easy the day your precious Viktor betrayed me.
- Selene: Betrayal was something he did very well. Viktor's dead, I killed him.
- Tanis: You? Killed Viktor? No, I think not. Oh, unless you've learned the truth. So your eyes are finally open. Isn't it interesting how the truth is even harder to absorb than light? You know, I tried to stop him, of course. A travesty, committing such a horrible crime, and then turning you. That was too much to take. My protests are why he put me here.
- Selene: Viktor put you here for a reason, but I doubt it was because you had moral qualms. What do you know?
- Tanis: [pouring himself a glass of wine] Very little of anything, I'm afraid. [a silver-headed arrow suddenly hits the glass in Tanis' hand, spilling the wine]
- Selene: [to Tanis] Well, then, perhaps I'm mistaken and there's no use for you at all.
- Michael: Marcus was after this. Why? [tosses over Sonja's Pendant to Tanis]
- Tanis: Some history is based on truth, and others on deception. Viktor was not the first of our kind, as you were led to believe. He was once human, the ruler of these lands. Marcus, he's the one. The Source. The First True Vampire.
- Selene: So the legend is true?
- Tanis: [referring to Viktor] Towards the end of his ruthless life, when the next breath meant more to Viktor than silver or gold, Marcus came with an offer: a reprieve from sickness and death. Immortality. And in return, Viktor was to use his 'Army-Turned-Immortal' to help him.
- Selene: To do what?
- Tanis: To defeat the very first Werewolves, a dangerous and infectious breed created from Marcus' own flesh and blood: his twin brother William. But these weren't the Lycans we know. [To Michael] Disgusting though your brethren may be. They, at least, are evolved. [pulls away a curtain tapestry to reveal more books] No, these were raging monsters, [pulls out one of the books] never able to take human form again. It was only these later generations that learned to channel their rage. And William's appetite for destruction and rampage was insatiable. He had to be stopped. And so once Viktor's army was turned, the legions of Vampires under his control, tracked down and destroyed the animals, then they captured William, and locked him away. Viktor's prisoner for all time. [sets a book down on the table]
- Selene: Why let him live?
- Tanis: For the same reason that Viktor never conspired against Marcus: Fear. He was warned that should Marcus ever die, all those in his bloodline would follow him to the grave.
- Selene: So in Viktor's mind, William's death would mean the death of all Lycans, his slaves?
- Tanis: Yes. Yes, a clever deception but one Viktor was hardly willing to put to the test. And so Marcus was protected, at all costs.
- [Tanis unfastens the book's latches, opening it, and he starts flicking through the pages until he finds what he is looking for]
- Tanis: Yes, here we are. [he turns the book to Selene and Michael who both see a woodcut of an army of horsemen, riding over a pile of corpses]
- Michael: Vampires?
- Tanis: Mortals. Men loyal to Alexander Corvinus. [to Selene] The Father of us all.
- [Tanis then flicks more pages until they reach a page that shows familiar designs that catches Selene's attention]
- Selene: What's this?
- Tanis: You should know. It's William's Prison. The prison your fathee was commissioned to build.
- [Flash back to when Selene was six-years-old. Her father is overseeing the excavation of a dungeon underneath a fortress. Six-year-old Selene is holding up the pendant as she and her older sister are painting on the new walls. Selene's father sees her with the pendant]
- Selene's Father: [chuckling] Oh, so you're the one keeping a watch over this. I've been searching everywhere for this, my darling.
- [More images matching the sketches flash in her mind. Selene becomes visibly upset]
- Michael: [To Selene] What is it? What's wrong?
- Tanis: She now understands why her family was killed.
- Selene: [to Tanis] But that was many years later.
- Tanis: The Winter of Lucian's Escape. Your Father knew too much. Or too much for Viktor to risk, especially when Lucian had the key, [holds up Sonja's Pendant] to William's cell.
- Selene: [realizing] And I'm the map.
- Tanis: Yes. The only one still living who has seen its location. Oh, Viktor realized you'd be too young to remember explicitly. But Marcus knows that the memory, and therefore the exact location of William's Prison is hidden away in your blood.
- Michael: Why is Marcus looking for him now? After all this time?
- Tanis: That I cannot answer. [Selene cocks her new gun] But I do know someone who could stop him. Perhaps I could arrange a meeting, in exchange for your discretion, of course.
- Selene: Of course.
- [Selene and Michael have been brought before Lorenz Macaro. He looks over the pendant]
- Selene: [to Lorenz] So you're familiar with this, then?
- Lorenz: Intimately.
- [As Marcaro's hand moves over Sonja's Pendant, Selene sees his ring. Selene recognises its emblem from the woodcut of Alexander Corvinus' army of mortals that Tanis showed them]
- Selene: [realizing] You're Alexander Corvinus.
- [having been revealed, Alexander Corvinus walks towards Michael]
- Alexander Corvinus: There was a time that I was known by that name. [to Michael] But by any name, I am still your forefather. [gives Michael a smile of paternal pride, as he hands the pendent back to him]
- Selene: How have you stayed hidden all these years?
- Alexander: For centuries, I've stood back and watched the havoc my sons have wrought upon each other, and upon humanity. Not the legacy I prayed for, the morning I watched them enter this world. And a tiresome duty; keeping the war contained, cleaning up the mess. Hiding my family's unfortunate history.
- Michael: [to Alexander] Couldn't you have stopped it?
- Selene: Yes.
- Alexander: Could you kill your own sons?
- Selene: You know what Marcus will do! If he finds me, he finds William's prison! You have to help us stop him.
- Alexander: You are asking me to help you kill my son? You? A Death Dealer? How many innocents have you slain in your six-century quest to avenge your family? Spare me your self-righteous declarations. You are no different from Marcus and even less noble than William. At least he cannot control his savagery.
- Selene: Anything I've done can be laid at your feet. Hundreds of thousands have died because of your inability to accept that your sons are monsters, that they created monsters! You could have stopped all of this.
- Alexander: Do not come groveling to me because you are weaker than your adversary-
- Selene: You know the devastation William caused before he was captured. He cannot be set free.
- Marcus: Hello, father.
- Alexander Corvinus: You are unwelcome in my presence.
- Marcus: A predictable heart that never falls. Pity it beats within such a fool. The eldest of the immortals, yet you have made no attempt to seize your destiny.
- Alexander: We are oddities of nature, you and I. Nothing more! This is a world for humanity.
- Marcus: And that petty sentiment explains why you rejected your sons? Why you stood by for half a millennium as William suffered alone in darkness!? No, father. I have no respect for your petty sentiment. Viktor's key, where is it?
- Alexander: Whatever plan you have for William is futile. You cannot control you brother.
