Kingda Ka
[edit]Hi,
I see that you made a couple edits to Kingda Ka, following the recent news about the ride. I chose the word "decommissioned", since I felt that it best reflected the current state of the ride (effectively SBNO, but slated for removal). I don't feel that defunct is yet appropriate, since as far as we know, the ride has not been modified yet. However, I am open to suggestions for alternative wordings, since I agree that decommissioned doesn't sound ideal; please feel free to chime in here.
As for Top Thrill 2's records, it seems that there is some consensus among roller coaster enthusiasts that it has not claimed the record from Kingda Ka, since it arguably hasn't properly opened yet. If this is the case, then the current successors (Red Force and Superman: Escape from Krypton) are correct; when Top Thrill 2 has its proper opening, it will claim the records from those two coasters. If you disagree with this, please voice your views in Talk:Kingda Ka and Talk:Top Thrill 2, so that a consensus can be reached. ZLima12 (talk) 05:56, 22 November 2024 (UTC)

- @Eliinjic @ZLima12 As a coaster enthusiast I can testify that this is accurate. There is a little more to it, however, so I left some information, [with proof, of course :) ] on Kingda Ka's talk page that may be helpful. Therguy10 (talk) 15:30, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
