This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Kosovo Agency of Privatization, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://pak-ks.org/?page=2,1.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Speedy deletion nomination of Kosovo Agency of Privatization

[edit]

Hello Mondiad,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Kosovo Agency of Privatization for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Tco03displays (talk) 23:00, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Costa Chekrezi.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Costa Chekrezi.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 00:12, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Janaq Paço (Stamp).jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Janaq Paço (Stamp).jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 03:01, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Janaq Paço (Stamp).jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Janaq Paço (Stamp).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 03:03, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Minor

[edit]

Hello! I have stumbled across a couple of good edits you have made. I was, however, a bit surpriced that you had marked them as minor edits, when they certainly were not. Looking at your contributions list, I see that you mark all your edits as minor. This is a bit confusing when you, as I often do, scan the history of an article, and it is not how the minor marking is supposed to be used. Please read WP:Minor. Please don't tag articles without valid explanation provided on the talkpage. Just because you did not find something mentioned in Albanian language sources does not mean it did not exist. It is not constructive to complain about sources being one-sided if Albanian sources do not even exist.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 21:56, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Mondiad,

Prek Cali is officially recognized as Albanian Hero,he is known for his bravery and for being active during national awaking ,and attended all wars against different enemies, like Ottoman Empire ,Serbia,Montenegro and Albanian Communist(1908,1911,1913,1944,1945). Communists made up story's that Prek Cali cooperated with Serbian chetniks and British, which are untruth because there are still alive witnesses which were together with Prek Cali.

He was anti-communist,and he had conflicts with Montenegrin and Serbians,Prek Cali was in cave with 14 men and 1 women (sworn virgin) called Tone Toma Bikaj, she was together with her brother Gjelosh Bikaj (who is still alive).

When communists found out their location they ,and Abaz Fejzo (Commandant of Partisans) said to Fr.David Pici to ask Prek Cali to surrender with his group, and they claimed that Partisans will stop war in Kelmend,if they dont surrender he said that they will be killed in cave and the war in Kelmendi wont stop. (Abaz Fejzo called Prek Cali a "Bayraktar" but Fr. David Pici anwered that Prek Cali is not bayraktar, but a nationalist who defended his motherland ). Anyway Fr. David agreed and asked Prek Cali to surrender with his group because communists promised that they will not continue war in Kelmendi ,and they will forgive supporters of Prek Cali which were together with him in cave. Prek Cali agreed to surrender with his group. He and his group surrender without reforestation (17 February 1944) Fr. David Pici was with them.

But Sejdin Avdia wrote in his book that they tryed to escape and killed 3 partisans, also he said that Prek Cali was a supporter of chetniks.

These story's are not true, because there are still alive a lot witness (Gjelosh Toma Bikaj, was in cave of Tartashica together with Prek Cali and other 13 men and his sister Tone) The author of book "Prek Cali dhe kelmendasit" , Dr. Luigj Martini says : Thanks god there are still alive witness.

Information's are taken in book of Dr. Luigj Martini ,"Prek Cali dhe kelmendasit" (Page : 272-289) ,and if you want i can take a picture of these informations from the book. After fall of communism the view for Prek Cali and for Resistance of Kelmendi during communist war (1942-1945),and also this book is the most trustful and its used officially for Anti-Communist war in Albania. NOTE: Prek Cali is officially Hero of Albania, and Martyr of Democracy,if he was a cooporater with chetniks he would never become a hero,so using communist books to write biograpy of Prek Cali or other Albanian Martyrs of Democray it would be ridicules, because we all know that communists made up story's about them to mislead the others.

I see that you can write quite well in English, and i would be ready to give to you information's from books about real story of Prek Cali and not the propaganda story which had been made by communists (Yugoslavian and Albanian). -AlbertBikaj (talk) 20:27, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am quite aware of Communist history, but that does not mean that Hoxha said that something is black, and today everything becomes automatically white. Anyway, this article does not have any importance for me. Just keep it out of emotional sentences like "one of the greatest heroes of Albania". Hero of Albania is just a given a title not a fact, just like Fatos Nano was given "Nderi i Kombit", it does not mean that Nano really honors Albania. The same with Cali, if there is a monograph that mentions him as one of the greatest heroes, does not mean it is absolutely true.

Regarding the chetniks, I don't know, the other guy brought many references. On my opinion, wherever there is smoke, there is fire. The cooperation was real, but pushed by British emissaries as part of the anti-communist campaign rather than any "love" between Cali and the Serbs.

What I don't like about Cali in what I saw is the localist medieval tribal mentality. I.e starting from the Battle of Decic, passing to the conflict with Zogu because they demanded autonomy from the "Albanian muslim state". If he was a real here would have fought like Curri, Boletini, Gurarkuqi, Galica, etc whho saw Albanian cause as a whole beyond a certain tribe or geographical limitation.

Anyway, good work. I respect your passion about this.Mondiad (talk) 19:42, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 03:12, 9 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Filiates shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Dr.K, thank you for threatening me. At this point I am getting used. Everytime there is some edit which the Greek editors don't like, I am being left a message in my talk page. As per your suggestion, I already had opened a talk section for discussion. Meanwhile I would strongly suggest you go on and revise the neutrality of the references provided as NPV by my Greek colleges. Seems that no one is worried about the neutrality of the article.
Also, If you check the page's history, you will see that Alexihoua reverted my edits first. So try to talk to him too. Mondiad (talk) 18:52, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am aware of WP policies. This situation is forced by two Greek wikipedians. User talk:Athenean and Alexikoua have been massively editing since ever all Albanian related articles that deal with geographic, ethnographic, and historical content related to south Albania. There is not a single article that is not overloaded with the word "Greek" or Greek related templates. Since they are always synchronous they overrule the edit of others. It's always like that.
Briefly, few days ago, user User:Skenderbeu123 edited the article Përmet. This scattered their reaction. They keep reverting changes in coordination with one another so no one passed 3 reversals and they don't finish on the incident board. Of course their facade is full of WP:This and WP:That. I would suggest one administrator scans through their contribution list and sees how they are always together when they try to push their point of view.
As far as the article Përmet is concerned, I will soon list it for page protection.
Thanks.Mondiad (talk) 13:31, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You are blocked for edit warring. Yes, WP:This and WP:That. These are called Wikipedia policies, and they are the social contract we agree to when we choose to become Wikipedia editors. It is you who is edit warring, regardless of what anyone else is doing. --jpgordon::==( o ) 14:01, 7 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I have read the guidelines for unblock requests. I have not much to add to what I said above, and definitely not make another unblock request. Please have time to consider what I described above. Wikipedia has to push neutrality throughout the lines. It is not about my user. I my user gets blocked or not does not make any big difference.

File source problem with File:Josif Bageri.JPG

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Josif Bageri.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. AE notification

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you informed Resnjari about report of DenisGusinje, but did not inform me, although I am page creator and main contributor to Battle of Nokšić and although I also participated in the discussion about DG's disruptive edits there. Is it coincidence that Reshnjari, unlike me, share your point of view, or you had intention to influence the outcome of AE discussion?--Antidiskriminator (talk) 13:19, 18 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I forgot. Not intentional. It was late. Mondiad (talk) 14:14, 18 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Antidiskriminator i looked at your talk page, did not see that notification there so i did not contribute out of fairness. DenisGusinje has his heart in the right place, its only how he is going about that is an issue. If he does tone it down a notch and do things according to Wikipedia policy it will be good. Otherwise he may end up in a situation like Burridheut and be banned. I am not a fan of banning and especially people who want to make a good contribution, and he must follow procedures and let the sources guide the discussion, not personal views. Best regards.Resnjari (talk) 16:03, 18 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I posted some questions in your thread at User talk:DenisGusinje#You have been reported and he has made a response. Do you want to look at his response and see if you believe that further admin action is warranted? For example, is he using reverts to keep the article from making normal progress? I can't tell from the talk page whether people are more or less happy now with the page content or if there's a serious disagreement. Thanks for any response. Better source request for File:Anselmo Lorecchio.jpg

[edit]

Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 23:13, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Studime filologjike magazine.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Studime filologjike magazine.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Non-free rationale for File:Akeks Buda.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Akeks Buda.jpg. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. I feel that Albanian Literary Commission and the Albanian Orthography Congress with a little bit of work can be brought to GA. If you want to nominate them, I would love to be their reviewer, always provided that someone else doesn't take them. MorenaReka (talk) 14:45, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I guess we can start with the Congress. My concern is that not much additional information is available. Mondiad (talk) 17:44, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
How is it going with the Xhamadan? --Mondiad (talk) 17:46, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The fact that there isn't much more info available is exactly what makes me feel that the GA cross is near. And that's valid for the Xhamadan too (which nobody has picked up at GA). --MorenaReka (talk) 02:46, 26 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Let's go for it. Have you had a chance to look at the Congress of Durres? --Mondiad (talk) 02:47, 26 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I did and I sent you an email about it, which explains some source issues (please review with attention). Could you please double check that email? --MorenaReka (talk) 13:28, 27 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Half (and probably more) of the articles that you wrote could be easily nominated today to GA. Especially one of your gems, Kostandin Boshnjaku. --MorenaReka (talk) 13:30, 27 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
And yet, two other gems, Dalip Frashëri and Shahin Frashëri. Incredible that they were NEVER published! Why study only the Songs of Milosao at school and not Kopshti i te mirevet? There is no par condicio. --MorenaReka (talk) 16:38, 28 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'll let you pick which article you think is better suited to bring to "good" status.--Mondiad (talk) 12:27, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I can give suggestions, but eventually, if you are going to be the nominator, it has to be you feeling which one can go first. I personally would go with obscure and fascinating subject such as Kostandin Boshnjaku, or the two unpublished Frasheri, but why not go also with Prokop Murra or Kiço Ngjela, or Zenel Bastari? So many to pick from... --MorenaReka (talk) 14:31, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, Boshnjaku it is. --Mondiad (talk) 16:10, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I would add Tahir Dizdari and Hasan Moglica too. Excellent work. You can safely bring to GA perhaps 15 articles, they take 6 months to be picked up for review (I'm still awaiting that someone picks up my xhamadan, and it's getting cold this winter, I want to wear it. --MorenaReka (talk) 16:05, 5 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Albanians. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Dr. K. 03:03, 8 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reminding me. I am involved in edit warring as much as Athenean or you are, so no problem on that. As for the article, see the talk page.--Mondiad (talk) 03:07, 8 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi,

I noticed that you used edit line of one of your edits to comment ethnicity of other editors (diff). There is a wikipedia policy Wikipedia:No personal attacks which says:

  • "Do not make personal attacks anywhere in Wikipedia. Comment on content, not on the contributor."

Will you please be so kind to try not to continue with violation of this policy in future. Especially taking in consideration that only a day earlier admin reminded group of editors (including you) to respect WP:NPA (diff).--Antidiskriminator (talk) 19:17, 8 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Somebody who does not AGF in your case (not me of course) might see this edit (diff) as vote-stacking as per Wikipedia:Canvassing. In future, if you wish to draw a wider range of informed, but uninvolved, editors to a discussion I propose you to consider trying to use more transparent ways to do so. --Antidiskriminator (talk) 19:45, 8 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Alexikoua: What are you talking about? The article was edited and references added. See if you can add valuable material or references, rather then leave unnecessary comments and persist on disruptive edits as of recently. As I said when I removed the tags: "everyone please contribute". --Mondiad (talk) 12:51, 17 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Lutfi Lepaja, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Stari Trg. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

False warnings & edit summaries

[edit]

What can be easily termed disruption is the removal of text and inline citations while posting wrong edit summaries & placing wrong tags on co-editors' pages. May I ask why you removed the text I've recently added [[1]]? I assume your initial excuse in your edit summary is obviously problematic and needs reconsideration.Alexikoua (talk) 12:42, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Alexikoua:, any discussion between you and Sulmues yesrs ago is not a reason you should deny his origin. You can add material if its referenced, but you can't deny his origin. If you and User:Athenean continue to overwrite other people's edits just because you are two of you, this will end up in the noticeboard.--Mondiad (talk) 14:14, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
If you insist on this kind of disruptive activity and continue removing sourced content with completely wrong edit-summaries and tags then this will unevitably end up that way. I assume you don't care to provide a decent explanation in the correspodent talkpage.Alexikoua (talk) 14:28, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Alexikoua:, I already started the discussion. I simply added material about the origin in the article with proper reference. Since you went and reverted my edit with the only explanation that you had talked to someone 5 years ago, you were the one to start the discussion. Adding sourced material is constructive, removing source material with the flag of WP:OWN is disruptive, which is you, no matter how you try to spin it and how many messages you leave here.--Mondiad (talk) 04:10, 2 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Occupation of Northern Albania and Kosovo section

[edit]

I ask you to use common sense. This is a disruptive edit. The user that added it has went on an anti-Serbian, OR, rampage since creating his account. He knows that he needs to discuss matters. The content he added is out of scope and dubious. Stefan Nemanja did not occupy, but conquer lands. Albanians in Northern Albania were also Orthodox. Miron Rezun is a political scientist, not a historian; he doesn't use citations for the cited content, and has some interesting claims (Albanian leader being the vojvoda, there are also Orthodox Kosovo Albanians and Catholics, Kosovo Albanians are descending from the Illyrian tribe settling in 1200 BC, etc.). The next citation is Segesten, who, again, is a political scientist, but most importantly the claimed sentence is not existing in the work (!). Hint: I would take your self-revert as GF.--Zoupan 14:01, 17 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Zoupan:, you can do some rephrasing on the sentences, that's not an issue. It is just a simple paragraph with few sentences showing that he conquer or occupied or whatever north Albania. With references. I don't see why you are making big deal about it. If you think that Segesten did not write such a sentence then ask for a quotation. How do you that btw? --Mondiad (talk) 02:42, 18 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article Albanian Journal of Natural and Technical Sciences has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable journal. Not indexed in any selective databases, no independent sources. Does not meet WP:NJournals or WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 11:15, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! File:Themistokli Germenji.jpg needs authorship information

[edit]
Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:Themistokli Germenji.jpg appears to be missing information as to one (or more) of the following :

  1. The author or creators of the work, (including information as to the author's lifespan).
  2. Where and how this particular version was obtained.
  3. When the work was created,

If you did provide such information, it is currently confusing for others trying to make use of the image.

It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.

Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided), authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

  • If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which: {{subst:usernameexpand|Mondiad}} will produce an appropriate expansion,
    or use the {{own}} template.

Please also add authorship and sourcing to other files you created or uplopaded. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions please see Help:File page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:22, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Better source request for File:Themistokli Germenji.jpg

[edit]

Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:22, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Why PROD when you can redirect?

[edit]

Just a heads up, when you encounter a duplicate article like Kole Idromeno vs Kolë Idromeno, instead of PRODding it, you can just make it a redirect to the original. Redirects are cheap and help people find what they're looking for, especially when it comes to names that have accents or diacritic marks. Cheers! ♠PMC(talk) 15:19, 8 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ANI notice

[edit]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. --Antidiskriminator (talk) 21:48, 22 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Why marking edits that are not minor edits as "minor edits" is a Wikipedia:Assume good faith problem

[edit]

Hi Mondiad,
Wikipedia project is a collaborative project, and one of its fundamental principles is trusting each-other that changes are made in good faith. When an edit is marked as a "minor edit", it is essentially a request that the edit be trusted as a good faith change that does not raise any concerns at all.
As you can see at Help:Minor edit#When to mark and Help:Minor edit#When not to mark, the scope of what is considered a "minor edit" is very limited.
If you mark all or most your edits as a "minor edit", your fellow editors cannot trust you to be making those changes in good faith.
Pete AU aka --Shirt58 (talk) 09:30, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Shirt58:. Hi. Certain edits which I may consider not important in substance and not potential to controversies or edit warring, may be market as minor. This does not mean that that the other should agree with me or that I am right. If you go through my edits, or through the diffs that were presented in the noticeboard, you may see that there is nothing related to "advancing my position", as pretended by User:Antidiskriminator. He was involved lately in a discussion with me and another editor regarding the article Gjon (where he was trying to present the name as a Serbian name). Best regards --Mondiad (talk) 18:39, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
This issue is about as simple as it gets. Since your sense of what's minor doesn't match anyone else's, you're just going to have to stop using the minor flag. Period. If you can't hear what we're saying, you're not going to be able to contribute to the project anymore. EEng 21:39, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi EEng, as you can see I do not prefer to get involved into long discussions. I have no problem in avoiding that flag - I wanted to make sure that all are clear about the Antidiskriminator's accusations as me "advancing my position" over him or anyone . Without diving too much into the motives. Best regards. --Mondiad (talk) 00:17, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
E I agree Mondiad should avoid using the minor flag. Mondiad did not mark those edits to "advance their POV" as claimed by filer. They just marked edits they thought would not be controversial and cause disputes, this way act many others. I know Mondiad will be careful because they are an editor who gives only productive contributions. See their history. Warning for a permanent block is not suitable. ANI Experiences survey

[edit]

The Wikimedia Foundation Community health initiative (led by the Safety and Support and Anti-Harassment Tools team) is conducting a survey for en.wikipedia contributors on their experience and satisfaction level with the Administrator’s Noticeboard/Incidents. This survey will be integral to gathering information about how this noticeboard works - which problems it deals with well, and which problems it struggles with.

The survey should take 10-20 minutes to answer, and your individual responses will not be made public. The survey is delivered through Google Forms. The privacy policy for the survey describes how and when Wikimedia collects, uses, and shares the information we receive from survey participants and can be found here:

If you would like to take this survey, please sign up on this page, and a link for the survey will be mailed to you via Special:Emailuser.

Please be aware this survey will close Friday, Dec. 8 at 23:00 UTC.

Hi, your upload, File:Zef-Mala-student-ne-Viene-1934.jpg has had it's licensed changed to a 'non-free-license' because it has lacked positive confirmation that it is PD in the US for over 30 days.

Please either provide confirmatory evidence that the image is in the PD in the US, including creator information and lifetime, or provide a fair-use rationale.

If "positive confirmation" of US status or a fair use rationale is not added the image will eventually be deleted which would be undesirable. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 13:03, 6 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain, search engine, pinboard, aggregator, or the URL of the image file itself.

Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 13:27, 6 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Rilindja newspaper.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Rilindja newspaper.jpg.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Giacomo Vuxani, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Arbanasi (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Replaceable fair use File:Archbishop Damian and other member of the delegation of the Albanian Autocephalic Orthodox Church on their way to Moscow, 1958.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Archbishop Damian and other member of the delegation of the Albanian Autocephalic Orthodox Church on their way to Moscow, 1958.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — JJMC89(T·C) 05:50, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You've been unsubscribed from the Feedback Request Service

[edit]

Hi Mondiad! You're receiving this notification because you were previously subscribed to the Feedback Request Service, but you haven't made any edits to the English Wikipedia in over a year.

In order to declutter the Feedback Request Service list, and to produce a greater chance of active users being randomly selected to receive invitations to contribute, you've been unsubscribed, along with all other users who have made no edits in two years or more.

You do not need to do anything about this - if you are happy to not receive Feedback Request Service messages, thank you very much for your contributions in the past, and this will be the last you hear from the service. If, however, you would like to resubscribe yourself, you can follow the below instructions to do so:

  1. Go to the Feedback Request Service page.
  2. Decide which categories are of interest to you, under the RfC and/or GA headings.
  3. Paste {{Frs user|Mondiad|limit}} underneath the relevant heading(s), where limit is the maximum number of requests you wish to receive for that category per month.
  4. Publish the page.

If you've just come back after a wikibreak and are seeing this message, welcome back! You can follow the above instructions to re-activate your subscription. Likewise, if this is an alternate account, please consider subscribing your main account in much the same way.

Note that if you had a rename and left your old name subscribed to the FRS, you may be receiving this message on your new username's talk page still. If so, make sure your new account name is subscribed to the FRS, using the same procedure mentioned above.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the Feedback Request Service talk page, or on the Feedback Request Service bot's operator's talk page. Thank you! Notice

The article Gjurmime albanologjike has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable journal. Not indexed in any selective databases, apart from some in-passing mentions, no in-depth independent sources. Does not meet WP:NJournals or WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
