Contradiction
[edit]The last paragraph contradicts itself. It first states that hypertrophic scars are more common in the young than older people, then later says the opposite. I don't know which, if either, is right. 67.170.238.175 (talk) 02:05, 17 May 2013 (UTC)

Restricting movement
[edit]Hypertropic scars, especially from burns, can and do sometimes restrict movement. This isn't dubious, as the scar tissue is both physically bulkier than unscarred tissue, and less elastic. Some references/sources:

brown colour
