Ghost Catchers (also known as High Spirits)[1] is a 1944 American comedy horror film. The protagonists were the comedy duo of Olsen and Johnson.

The film deals with two nightclub owners who try to get rid of the ghosts of a supposedly haunted house. One of their employees is actually trying to scare away the house's tenants, because he plans to steal liquor from the house's basement.

Plot

Ole Olson and Chic Johnson are nightclub owners, helping their neighbors rid an old house of ghosts. Their club's headwaiter Jerry (Leo Carrillo) is really a gangster trying to scare off the tenants in the house so he can steal a stash of aged liquor from the basement.
