Objectives

Goals

  • To create well-written and properly organised encyclopedic coverage for all relevant video games, technologies, people, fictional aspects and other notable concepts relating to the Valve Corporation
  • To create a consistent style for all relevant articles and related topics
  • To steamline navigation between relevant articles
  • To be a community of editors who like to focus on the improvement of articles relating to the Valve Corporation
  • To indicate articles in need of improvement using our "to do" list

Scope

  • This task force aims primarily to improve and organize articles relating to the Valve Corporation. It attempts to organise and coordinate the efforts of editors and create standards for constructing good articles.
  • Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a fan site. Accordingly, we do not need articles that cover fictional aspects from an unencyclopedic viewpoint and do not conform to notability guidelines. Likewise, articles on video games should not focus on how to play the game or on the game's story, but rather give a balanced encyclopedic overview of the product. Our criteria for inclusion, as it is on the rest of Wikipedia, is notability in the real world, not in the subject itself.
