Hi Dbusb, sorry for replying so late. You're right: I changed those numbers following the last constitutional reform. Those numbers (400 deputies and 200 senators) are now written in the constitution, but the reform will be concretely applied starting from the next general elections. So, the official membership is already, according to the Italian constitution, 400/200, but until the next elections are held, the number de facto remains 630/315. The same applies to the number of the MPs elected abroad. I hope you'll find these informations useful [[User:Novariensis|Novariensis]] ([[User talk:Novariensis#top|talk]]) 17:03, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

Italian Legislature Membership - February 2020

[edit]

Hi, Novariensis!

I notice you edited the page Chamber of Deputies (Italy) on 27 November 2020 to change the membership numbers in the introductory paragraph from 630 to 400 deputies, 618 to 412 from Italy, and 12 to 8 from abroad. This wasn't updated in the legislature info box, however, and a Membership section has since been added to the page that still says the Chamber has 630 members. A similar issue is present on the page Senate of the Republic (Italy), and the old numbers are still listed in other articles, such as in some places on the page Italian Parliament.

I think this is because there hasn't been a general election since the membership numbers change was made, so while the constitutional number of deputies is 400, the actual number of deputies at this time is still 630. So, since I'm guessing you know a lot more about Italian politics than I, my questions are: Is this in fact what's happened? Should any of the numbers be updated on these pages?

Thanks!
