The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is the head of state of the TRNC. Rauf Denktaş was the first and founder president of TRNC, and retired in 2005. His position was taken over by Mehmet Ali Talat, followed by Derviş Eroğlu.[1] Mustafa Akıncı has replaced Derviş Eroğlu as president.

The president is represented by the president of the Republican Assembly when the president is abroad.[2]
