Gillian Tett is a journalist and assistant editor at the Financial Times.[1] part of the globally influential Pearson media empire. She reported on instruments that have been the root cause of the financial crisis that started in the fourth quarter of year 2007, such as CDOs, credit default swaps, SIVs, conduits and SPVs, before these were widely reported.[2][3][4]
Tett holds a PhD from Cambridge University, and predicted the financial crisis in 2006.[5]
