OKO is a complex of buildings located on plot 16 in the Moscow International Business Center in Moscow. The site is divided into two sections, 16a and 16b. "OKO" means "eye" in Russian, and is also abbreviation for "united by the foundation crystal" ("объединённые кристаллом основания"). OKO South Tower is the second tallest building in Europe. Moscow Government purchased from Capital Group 55,000 m² in "OKO" Tower.[3][4][5] The highest skating rink in Europe opened on the roof of the "OKO" South Tower at a height of 354 meter in December 2016.[6][7]
Section No. 16a
On the section 16 two high-rise buildings are being built, one of which is 49 stories and 245 meters tall (North Tower) and is currently complete, and the other one will be 85 stories with and 354 meters tall (South Tower) and is currently under construction. Each building will also have an underground floor. The buildings will house both residential and office space, occupying roughly the same area: for offices rid 122,493 m², residential apartments - 122,507 m².
Section No. 16b
On the section 16b a building will be built consisting of a three star hotel, which will house 330 rooms, and a parking lot for 3740 cars. The hotel's height will be 79 meters with 22 floors. The parking lot will have 14 floors, of which 5 will be underground; the other 9 will have a total height of 44 meters.
Construction progress
As of October 15, 2012, the 49-story building is under construction. And is on the 13th floor above ground, the 85-story building is under construction in Europe and is on the 11th floor above ground.
As of May 6, 2013, the 49-story building is under construction and is on the 35th floor above ground, the 85-story building is under construction and is on the 40th floor above ground.
As of June 22, 2013, the 49-story building is under construction and is on the 39th floor above ground, the 85-story building is under construction and is on the 46th floor above ground.
As of January 10, 2014, the 49-story building is completed and is being glazed, the 85-story building is under construction and is on the 65th floor above ground.
