Etymology
[edit]From Middle Khmer kambuja, kambujja, kaṃbūjja, kumvuja, kāmabūja, kaṃmbujja (“kingdom of the Kambuja”), ultimately from Sanskrit काम्बोज (kāmboja); compare Modern Khmer កម្ពុជ (kɑmpuc), Khmer កម្ពុជា (kampuciə).
